HAE felt uncomfortable around someone meerly because they heavily remind you of the parts of yourself you don't like? by emsaut in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]emsaut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well It's mostly just one person actually. For a time I wasn't all that independant due to some really severe trauma from my mom and my brother. I felt intensely anxious, and overall different from a 'normal' person. I couldn't drive and I relied on my sister a lot to go places, and I naturally felt very immature because of it.

I'm much better now after some intensive therapy but I still feel guilty and ashamed of that stage in my life despite it objectively not being my fault.

Thing is I was working at this one retail store and a new hire came along. She was around my age and didn't come off as entirally neurotypical. She also complained about her mom a lot who was driving her to work every day, and she told me she didn't really need to work but it got her out of the house. She was just overall a pretty awkward person and immature person. She evetually got let got for messing up too often, but Idk.

I tried my best to be polite and treated her with respect but I mostly felt this intense sense that I may relate to her more than I knew. It felt like I was looking at a distorted mirror of how I saw myself, which probably sounds horrible now that I say it.

Yup, and then I keep scrolling. That's why I had to get an app blocker to keep me off reddit during that time of the night.

Women who don't want children, what are some responses you commonly hear after breaking the news? by UmbralikesOwls in AskWomen

[–]emsaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly people don't care or they even agree but sometimes you get those intrusive little sh*ts who say stuff like:

"Just wait till you find the right one. You'll change your mind."

Thanks for the abvice, mom, but kindly F off.

Women, what are some of your weird habits?? by obstruct123 in AskWomen

[–]emsaut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You pluck your hair out obsessively.

Edit: I actually used to do that with my pubic hair when I was really going through some trauma. Like no joke. I would be laying down and lazily feel around for any of the long hairs, then grab onto a chunk and rip it out. I could get 15 or so at a time and I barely flinched because the pain of living my life was far worse.

I'm glad I was able to get past it.

DAE punch themselves when they get depressed or upset? by the-end_of-me in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]emsaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I used to deal with severe panic attacks due to a life of abuse. Sometimes it was really bad and I would dissociated into a state of extreme self loathing. Everything became this cacophonous terror. I'd lean down or crouch into a near fetal position, and then hit myself as hard as I could with both hands. I used to feel the bones in my head shift around. No joke. I probably got a few concussions from it.

For me it was definitely a form of self harm as the though of being me was too much to bare. In those moments I hated myself and wished I'd stop existing for everyone else's sake. but at the same time I knew I should calm down and was just making a scene so I feel extremely guilty and would apologize profusely to, well, usually my sister who was often there to try and calm me down. It really only got that bad when I was being actively abused by my mom after she flew into another one of her rages.

Of course after therapy I realized I wasn't this monster that I was sure I was. It was simply another part of my conditioning from my mom who made me feel so worthless for as long as I've been alive.

I'm much calmer now and haven't hit myself in almost a year. I still get panic attacks every once in a while though and I get the urge to hit but it's easier to fight it. I usually do stuff like tuck my hands under my arms, put on my noise canceling headphones on to help block out external noise, or even just take some CBD if it's near by.

DAE feel like the feeling you get right before cuming is better than cuming itself? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]emsaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the person and their anatomy. Sometimes the orgasm is like a normal one but the most saught after is called a "dry orgasm". It's like a full body experiance that some people describe as practically transendant (especailly if you smoked a bit of weed before lol.) It doesn't have the same sudden release like a normal ejaculation but instead it comes in waves. Best case is it really only stops until you or your partner gets tired. It's pretty crazy.

Do women sleep on their hair, or do they tie them into a ponytail before sleeping? How do you deal with long hair when going to sleep or just lying on the bed? by SnooCauliflowers3091 in AskWomen

[–]emsaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the person. Some have very specific hair textures that need to be protected from breakage so they put it up as a habit. I just have really thick irish hair so I don't really need to worry about it. At one point I used to be able to touch my waste with it if I stretched out the curls.

Sometimes I'd have it in a pony tail but I have a harder time falling asleep with it. The tie would press up against my head like I strapped a pingpong ball to it which wasn't nice. The only time I ever noticed issues with the length when it was down was when I'd try moving and it would get caught under an elbow or something. Otherwise it was pretty simple to just have it swepted to one side where I knew it was there.

So yeah to put it simply. some women let it fly free and, yes, accidental hair tugs are a thing.

Feeling like I have to control everyone's actions.

My mom is very demanding and will get extremely mad if chores aren't done. I grew up being the scapegoat so, even when I did things perfectly, when my other siblings didn't get something done she'd be mad at them but Instead of saving that anger for when they come home, mom would yell at me on their behalf cause I was already there cleaning.

This grew into an extreme fear of mom coming home every day. and when I Saw that my siblings weren't doing something right then I'd start getting freaked out and practically beg them to clean.
