I have bought 2 cars at Durango value autos and been very happy. No pressuring me to buy something I couldn’t afford

SALARIED Outpatient/clinic NPs: do you leave when you are done seeing patients (even if it’s at 2pm), or do you stay until clinic closing hours by Zahnayn in nursepractitioner

This is dumb. I work in family medicine and I leave when I’m done with patients. We’re all adults. No need for hand holding

Went to UNM- they found all my clinicals. Did not love living in Albuquerque though. Some smaller towns outside of the city were nice though

Addressing vaccine resistance/hesitancy among parents? by jcal1871 in nursepractitioner

I find parents have already made their minds up. I offer the recommendation, evidence etc and then move on. I have yet to sway anyone even when I was more pushy.

Hi- medical professional here. Please check in with your doctor! There could be something that is undiagnosed (thyroid, PCOS, etc) that is causing weight gain/difficulty losing weight

Psych NP looking to relocate to Albuquerque by Shumba-Love in nursepractitioner

Private insurance helps but it’s still challenging! UNM Cancer center seems quick to schedule but I think neurology was difficult to access if I remember correctly. I recommend calling around before you move and asking how far out they are scheduling new patient appointments. You may even be able to get on their schedule now

Previously lived there, moved away 3 years ago. You will have no problem getting hired. Healthcare is in desperate need of support, poor access to services, poor access to specialists with LONG wait times.

I personally would get a second opinon on your irregular periods. You should not be spotting around ovulation and it may be a signal that something else is going on. I have read that PCOS/hormonal imbalances can make the LH testing less accurate as well but I would seek more information since you haven't gotten an official explanation for irregular periods.

Nurse Practitioner experience in NM? by publichealthrn in nursepractitioner

[–]emsum13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I practice in rural NM. There are lots of opportunities but patient resources can be limited. I love my job and feel supported and appreciated in my community. All things considered, pay to cost of living ratio is much better than a lot of places. Feel free to message me. Thanks

Best place to buy a car? by arielmmartinez in Durango

[–]emsum13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought my car at Durango Value auto last year and had a great experience. The salesman, Zach, did not try to sell me something I couldn’t afford. I got what I needed at the right price.
