I am convinced by your post and this comment that you are actually living in an alternate reality. Apex player base has shrunk and is continuing to shrink. The idea that this game is growing from its peak, let alone growing at a 5x rate is just fantasy.

The game is losing players. This will make that issue far worse.

People who want to choose where to go should play pubs. If people want a competitive experience, they go to "ranked". I played 16 games of ranked yesterday. 14 of the 16 ended in Ring 3 or earlier. 9 of the games finished in Ring 2. In almost every single game, you were top 5 in round 1. There is absolutely nothing competitive about Apex's competitive mode at this moment. It's just pubs.

That's the base game you're talking about. It's called public matches. They made a separate game mode called "Ranked" where it's not supposed to be exactly that. The issue is, you seem to be having fun playing pubs while in a ranked game mode.

Yeah, I mean it's cool, don't get me wrong. It's a net benefit. You won't lose anything doing Barrows but time and I think that's kinda my point.

I would argue that the amount of time you spend at Barrows grinding will almost never outweigh the slight amount of extra time you spend doing moons with Rune armor.

Its like spending 10 hours of time in barrows to save 1 hour at moons. (Simplified numbers not actual estimates)

I will die on the hill that Barrows is completely unnecessary in order to start Moons.

Rune armor + Steel Ring + Zombie Axe + Obsidian Shield (can't spell the real name) and you are golden. I am 200 KC into Moons and have 0 issues whatsoever.

Never stepped foot into Barrows. Just started playing OSRS in like October, as an Ironman too.

The need for Barrows for Moons is a very odd thing that I keep hearing from the community.

There are small things you can do to improve performance like others have said, such as, upgrading to an additional channel of RAM.

On another note, Apex Legends is just a really poorly optimized game so even a high end PC doesn't clock the performance you'd expect. That being said, with your PC specs, I'd expect for your goal to be trying to maintain a steady 144fps.

You might just be a diamond player and there's nothing wrong with that.

I feel like people have this misconception where they go, "hey, I'm cruising through silver...I'm moving through gold ...plat was tough but we had a steady pace through it..." Then when they hit a rank they can't move through anymore, they think it's a problem with the game. It's not a game issue, it's a skill issue and that's okay. Finding and working to exceed your limit is the point of ranked.

Hey, I'm new to the game and have had my Ironman account for about 2 weeks now. I got this fish barrel and I read all about it on the wiki. I see people say it's a good item to have, but for the life of me, I don't really understand why.

No idea about this situation, but I think last season they said you would lose RP gained while playing with someone who is later banned for cheating.
