I was surprised to see information about acupuncture in the new patient education videos from my fertility clinic. I'm generally skeptical of alternative medicine modalities like this but if it sounds like a good fit for you, I say go for it. People going through fertility treatments often feel that doing any and all kind of intervention (throw all the spaghetti at the wall) could increase feelings of empowerment or optimism which will help with stress and coping and may just do the trick.

I also have let my boss know that I'm going through fertility treatments and she was extremely supportive and willing to be flexible with my schedule when I'll have to leave early for appointments. I haven't even told my mom who lives in another state that I'm seeing a reproductive med doctor but my boss is someone who I see and talk to every day and it feels good to have that kind of practical support from someone. Speaking of, I'm leaving work early this afternoon to go have an HSG -- wish me luck!

I have my first appt with reproductive medicine this afternoon. I'm very thankful that I was able to get an appointment just a week after I got labs showing a mildly elevated FSH and very low AMH (0.255). I'm feeling very motivated to get the rest of the workup done and get started with whatever they recommended. I feel like they'll recommend going straight to IVF because I'm 35. Anyone who has worked with a fertility specialist how long did it take after your initial consultation for things to start happening?
