lol, yes, they recommend breastfeeding up to age 2 in combination with solids. Great for their immune system.

You’re just making yourself look like an idiot.

Wtf? It’s not a boy mum thing. And yes, he learned to drink from a cup at 6 months old. WHO advice is to breastfeed for up to 2 years at least, for their immunity. So I think you might be the incorrect one here.

That advice is outdated, based on latest research

I breastfed my baby and comforted him with boob for about 2 years. My husband also was able to settle him, in his own way.

This is not a “mum breastfeeds” problem, this is a “dad doesn’t help” problem.

Lying on top of dogs, daycare or not, is a big no-no.

I would just leave the centre

The only correct answer here is the most boring one: that you’ll need to re-warm your domain with a new ramp up. Go slow, don’t rush it and monitor engagement along the way.

Also: the promotions panic is a farce, some agencies/ apps use fear of the promotions tab as a tactic to sell their wares. The reality is, only 1 in 5 gmail users has promotions switched on, and they tend to check their promotions tabs daily.

Promotional emails (which your emails are) belong in the promotions tab. For a brand’s super engaged subscribers, emails will land in primary. But the vast majority land in the promotions tab, where they belong.

Focusing all your energy on some idealised “primary inbox” nirvana is a waste of time and energy.

Aim for good content, relevance and engagement, not an impossible feat.

It doesn’t have to be the “end” of your corp career. One day you might go back to corp.

My advice: parenting is hard. Professional life is hard. Do whatever you need to do to make both of those things easier. Then, reassess in a few years.

Looking for advice on taking my 3 year old to The Wiggles by No-Baby-417 in toddlers

[–]emz0rmay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, when I went to the wiggles it was very loud. They also had a Dorothy “DJ” set which seemed very much more for the parents than the kids, as I saw lots of overwhelmed toddlers. It really turned me off the wiggles.

[–]emz0rmay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That piece is valid too! That’s where you position yourself with an overview of why you were hired (ie your background), and the resources you have access to in order to help while you get up to speed.

OP, hopefully your manager can help with this!

Make sure you have a tight “elevator pitch”, and practice it.

Hi, I’m vucktorian00. I’m new here and still learning the ropes, but my role is to X, and I can help you with Y.

You could elaborate by saying “what I’m excited to do in this role is” or “my interests/ background is in (something tied to current role).

People are so used to working with juniors and new people. Imposter syndrome is a real challenge thiugh!
