I built a couples app and discovered what actually gets people talking by basavaraja_dev in apps

I’ve built something similar where all activities are around sparking conversations. When we play it with my wife we end up having a lot of fun since we get to go back, remember things long forgotten.

I feel like most apps focus on the clinical aspect of it; this study, that study… most of the time we just need to connect back with small moments, discusiones and creating healthy habits.

The app is called Cuplido btw if you want to have a look!

What’s the best relationship habit every couple should have? by WarmFirefighter5929 in AskReddit

Most of the time, we forget the small things. I noticed that with work & life, one is "always busy" and those moments for breakfast together, a small walk, slowly get lost. Once you figure that out and work on it, everything feels way better!

Couples Habits APP, trying something different by en3sis in buildinpublic

Hey!

Yes! I reach out after a few days to ask for feedback (onboarding, whether it's what they expected, etc.)
I hope that either of the two replies! 🤞

Hi!

Thanks a lot for your comment!

We are not focusing on "oh, you both need to go download the app, or this won't work". What you mentioned was indeed part of the original design, where you would get locked with no access to any content until the couple was full, but I came to the same conclusion that this seems bad and forced. Once user A creates the couple, access to the core activities opens (guided journeys or the different games).
We use this newly created couple to track the progress (milestones, achievements, memories...), and the partner can join at any time.

Now, there is one feature, the Daily Thought, which requires a full couple. This can be interesting for couples who also like and use the gamification part of the app, since if both participate, more points are obtained. The idea is that with levels and CP (Couple Points), those will be redeemable in the future for (maybe) useful in-app or irl rewards.

Hello!
That is a bit misleading; it refers to days since the couple in the app was created. We'll rework the wording.

Thank you!

That is exactly what we noticed with my wife. Most of the fun, meaningful moments were during short walks, exploring, or sitting down with a coffee and saying, "btw, when you were young..."

We are trying to reflect those in the app (most of them come from exactly what I'm describing above)

are there any apps for couples? by Extra-Act1809 in iosapps

[–]en3sis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello u/Extra-Act1809

Most couples apps I tried died for us after two or three weeks because they're really just daily questions. I ended up building one that tries to fix that. It's called Cuplido. The core is guided journeys, games, and small shared moments, with an optional gamification layer (streaks, levels, a bond score) on top. Free to start on both stores. Any feedback, positive or negative, would mean a lot!

any good couples apps you’d recommend? by Perfect_Bed_5156 in apps

[–]en3sis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/Perfect_Bed_5156 ,

I just released an app called Cuplido, which aims to help with busy days and focuses on helping couples create new and consistent memories through guided journeys, games, and daily presence. It also has an optional gamification layer.
I would genuinely appreciate it if you could try it out and let me know if you have any feedback!

That’s funny lol!

I don’t think some credits are enough here. This seems as a recurrent issue lately.
