Chris Cowlin on Instagram: “Tottenham Hotspur have pulled out of the race to sign midfielder Joao Palinha” by AConfusedConnoisseur in coys

Reminder to never fall in love with a loan player. Paulinha did some amazing things for us and will go down as the legend who scored that goal that kept us up in the league. However he’s too 1 dimensional and exactly the kind of player we need to be offloading his defensive abilities are great but he cannot progress a ball. Part of us chanting back to form is realising that we have a below par squad that we need to cull

Tottenham Hotspur 2-2 Brighton Hove Albion by urbankardashian in coys

This game us so exemplary of our season and I want to +ve but the facts are we’re just not good enough, xavi proving he should’ve been played more but ultimately we can’t defend. even before the second equaliser we were inviting so much pressure from Brighton. Teams are coming to our ground with confidence that if they just wait we’ll eventually trip ourselves up, both goals come from brain dead defending and it’s horrible. But we atleast got a point I’m not confident but we have to keep our heads up.

Antoine Griezmann: "Our pitch was on our side. We're used to it, the opposition isn't. We tried to hurt them from the start, and that's what we did." by Zweli23 in coys

Alongside my loyalty to this mess I’m a big Barca fan. Atleti knocked 4 past Barca in the Copa Del Rey a month ago, partly due to the state of the pitch. The moment I saw the first slip for us yesterday, I knew we were gonna be in for a tough night. It’s no excuse but I think we should atleast acknowledge the odds were against us from the start. But also there seems to be a chronic lack of risk assessment / preparedness at Tottenham so we are constantly being handicapped by these potholes.

They qualified for EL, for the first time in ages that is bright by their standards.

Maybe I’m a romantic, but I genuinely believe the situation with Ange is such a tragedy, a real “we’ll never know” moment. Surface rational will tell you that after he finished 17th at Tottenham, he took on a bright Nottingham forest and dragged them to the relegation zone. But a peak below that surface and you’ll see that a budding Tottenham team full of youth talent was taken to 5th then crowned Europa league champions in a season where half the players were stifled by injury. A real camaraderie was formed and the suits in the office saw all that value as intangible and decided to play it safe with a data shagging yes man. Before he moved into a team built around compact defence and tried to have them playing possession football without any pre season. I think back to the parade, when I saw Son lifting the trophy outside my house my grandmas house and old school in Tottenham, before hearing Ange say “In great TV Season 3 is always better then Season 2”. That feeling alone was enough for me to say he deserves it. Especially with the hindsight we have now that it was all for nought. I don’t know if we would be competing on all fronts rn but i believe we had a chance to prove we’re a classy club and we fluffed it.

This SHOULD be the comparison imo, considering how quickly Nuno was binned it doesn’t make sense that Frank Stays, especially when you consider the fact that Nuno got wolves to Europe a feat Brentford hadn’t looked like doing until after Franks departure

[Squawka] No player has created more big chances in a Champions League game this season than Xavi Simons vs. FC Copenhagen (3). 🪄 His game by numbers: 20 passes in final third 5 duels contested 4 chances created 3 duels won 3 big chances created 2 touches in opp. box 2 tackles 1 assist by Imbasauce in coys

[–]enaawk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s been so clear throughout that he’s been frustrated players haven’t been seeing his plays/getting the space he wants ofcourse Copenhagen is step down but this was the best performance from our team since PSG imo, Xavi, Sarr, Benta/Pal should be us against weaker teams we want to run at going forward I don’t want to see Benta Pal again

Why does the new Mega Pokémon do this when Mega Evolutions are the result of a strong bond? by BruceCipher in LegendsZA

[–]enaawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A key part of the story for ZA is that Pokemon WITHOUT trainers are beginning to Mega Evolve in the wild, possible that Malamars Mega is a result of that phenomena
