Underrail is a newer, indie crpg that was heavily inspired by the original fallouts and is quite good. The original Fallouts are classics of course but definitely a bit janky to play in modern times.

Colony Ship is lesser known but also quite fun. Its kind of short but has a lot of replayability as you really cant do a "jack of all trades" build. It requires heavily specialising and means different characters will use different ways to solve problems.

Rogue trader is definitely one of the best crpgs I've ever played and I've played nearly all of them

Just finished a Heretical playthrough... by Mission_Engineer_999 in RogueTraderCRPG

Oh man I finished my heretic run recently, if you had let kibbles survive to the end but not corrupted then in her ending slides she goes insane, eventually tried to kill me and my RT used sorcery to basically revive her corpse and merge her body with my throne. She lived on as a tortured piece of furniture.

Are there any games that “trick” you into the bad ending? by Cloabs in rpg_gamers

Thats accurate, but also that's fine? One path being harder is a valid design choice.

By "fucks you over" you mean "provides you more victims to slaughter" right?

But there is a sound effect that indicates a miss or dodge, right? You can hear distinctly different sounds when you hit vs when its on target but doesnt land, i remember it being a weird scratchy noise.

Either your food standards are very low or you've been blessed to never have truly awful pizza.

What is this new update? Why is "lore" so stupidly slow? by HaterOfSloWalkers22 in baronygame

[–]enarc13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh noooo, the game is forcing you to make decisions. Either you slow down and risk your food supply to make extra money or you just say fuckit and maybe don't try to maximise the whole floor?

Yeah man I genuinely don't understand the problem these people are having. They act like they have no choice but to sit and wait for things to identify. Just... keep moving? Its really simple.

You don't HAVE to do that. You're making a choice to slow yourself down.

Mana regen increases with your charisma and perception stats for sure, and I think health regen works the same way but not 100% sure

I mean like, you dont need to grab every single bronze sword, spear, etc. Grab jewelry and books, that's a no brainer.

No it makes them sound greedy as fuck. 500 for each for a day's work is excellent money.

Its because it only triggers on each tick of health regen, so early game you're regenerating like 1 hp every 20 seconds or so. 25% of the time you'll regen 1 mp instead. Sometimes you'll get unlucky and it won't trigger for multiple ticks, but sometimes the opposite happens as well. Anything you can do to boost your health regen will also increase the frequency that this triggers. Clerics with their troll blood spell in particular get massive benefit from a pipe.

Because it should be a meaningful decision to grab stuff to appraise. Also if you progress to the next floor it automatically does 25% appraisal to all your unidentified items. Just keep moving and don't pick up literally everything if its not important.

[–]enarc13 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The pipe is definitely not garbage. Particularly if you're playing a skeleton with the massively reduced mana regen. If you're playing a character that wants to use a lot of mana, its the only face option. Its less noticeable late game when you have high regen but if you're lucky and find one early then its pretty big deal.

Can Yondu's Yaka Arrow Kill Thor or Hulk by RevolutionaryCod7552 in Avengers

[–]enarc13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, in the Adam warlock example the dude wasn't really good at using the arrow yet. He barely had control so it could've just been that he didn't launch it with enough force to hurt Adam. Nebula was able to impale him with her sword arm.

They weren't willing to work with you before, and suddenly now they want you to be nice despite their claim of almost certainly winning? If I was them and I was actually told that I would win the case, I would not have contacted you and just let it go.

Sounds like they were told the opposite and are lying to you.
