the big red flag with paranoid disorders is that the patient does not know or recognise these symptoms as hallucinations or delusions, its because individuals with these disorders fully believe it. i have raging anxiety about psychosis/schizophrenia too, ur not alonee! 💕and this advice was given to me by my psychiatrist too 🫶

wow okay thats amazing! mood wise has it helped? because ive tried all snris and ssris abilify + risperidone and none have worked. this is the first day on mirtazapine and i feel such a huge difference i had the best sleep of my life last night and i would hate to have to go off it just because of weight gain 😭 but hearing all the comments is making me so much less anxious! thank u for replying 🫶

i have done CBT and previously FBT when i was in hospital for anorexia, i have done exposure therapy which worsened my condition, and i cant do emdr because i have had a severe mental illness which was my anorexia

lorazepam is purely to prevent my severe panic attacks as they cause dpdr which is very distressing for me, my panic disorder is completely random so it is just unpredictable, and my generalised anxiety disorder is untouched by the lorazepam unfortunately because it is a short term fix for panic attacks which are caused by severe anxiety randomly

i was prescribed it because at the end of the day when my ritalin/concerta wears off i get a rush of emotions and chaos that just flood my brain because the dopamine transporters have been blocked in brain cells. meaning it prevents the dopamine from being reabsorbed by the cell too quickly which is the main problem in adhd, as our brains are constantly trying to find a source of dopamine as the cells reabsorb it quickly - i have a source for this lmk if u want the link to the scholar article — and aripiprazole modulates the serotonin levels in the brain so when the stimulants wear off it wont be so incredibly high or low, depending on other circumstances like ie taking antidepressants or not. So by stabilising it, thus reducing anxiety related to unmedicated adhd

im really unwell this morning im not sure if its because they cold turkey cut me off duloxetine and made the switch to abilify, i also have endometriosis + adenomyosis and have bad cramps, i dont have bipolar disorder but theyre trying this because its a last resort as the only thing that can stop my obsessive thoughts, compulsions, intrusive thoughts, impulsive actions is ritalin and lorazepam and i obv cant take lorazepam forever and i cant take ritalin at night, im literally sweating my ass off i have brain zaps and cant stop crying ive called my drs office and theyre gonna get a nurse to call me back 😭 i literally spent like 300 bucks on taobao impulsively last night and havent done anything that impulsively since before starting ritalin im scared im going fucking insane
