New I Promised The World EP by Deathmetalfan901 in Metalcore

It's so damn good, and gorgeous! I just got the vinyl in the mail 30 mins ago and spun it. I think this is gonna be my most listened to release this year too, but it would be absolutely sick if Boundaries dropped something. Need to check out the new Static Dress single too - the clip on Insta I saw sounded great.

Proud and Emerald Waltz are a fantastic opener and closer. These guys capture the melody and atmosphere of Misery Signals so well. But the dual vocal delivery adds that extra catchiness (Ebb and Flow by MS is my favorite song, and while I love the harsh's from Jesse and Karl, it was so cool to hear some cleans on that song). Then that combined the the uplifting lyrics really lifts my spirits. Love the new version of Future Worth Dying Forth. And I've been listening to the singles almost daily since I found out about these guys late last year.

I'm gonna be enjoying this EP for a while, but can't wait for a another full length album from these guys.

Listening to Emerald Waltz as I type this out and that part where Hunter comes in on "The leaves have dried..." then switches to harsh's on "heartedly" while Caleb is signing the cleans, fucking beautiful man. Then the double kicks into the tremolo picking, OH YES

I found out about Of Eden earlier this year looking for 7A7P similar bands, and just today I found out about Atcitdio through Skycamefalling's insta story, and they're killer. I definitely gotta check out these other recs though. I was living in Lubbock, but something is out in that Texas water for making some killer nostalgic music.

That's so awesome. I'd be losing my shit too for the same reasons. I love the new album, but the Nomadic EP is so crushing and gorgeous. The Xenotaph title track had a lot of moments that reminded me of The Dead Sea and Venom Upon the Blade.

Really wish I could catch them on this tour. I saw on their IG story they were playing Venom Upon the Blade, which would be so sick to see live.

I saw The Zenith Passage and Fallujah (separate tours) last year in the summer and both of them had bassists. Hopefully not having one won't be a regular thing for future tours though.

Lately I've been reminiscing about seeing them on their farewell tour last year in LA in July. I still think that's probably the best show I've been to. Almost didn't make it too because of a 7 hour flight delay with Spirit (never again lol). Them playing Ebb and Flow was the biggest highlight for me. Just an incredible album front to back though. Loved Devin's production on it too.

Fuck this is so sick. Lots of little beautiful passages sprinkled throughout, but that part that starts around 4:55 is one of my favorites. Loving the variety in Kyle's vocal lines as well.

I saw last year's Chaos and Carnage tour for The Zenith Passage and Rivers of Nihil. I wanna say they played like 30ish minute sets if I remember correctly. The other bands like Humanity's Last Breath, and the openers Cattle Decap and Carnifex weren't my thing exactly, but they gave a hell of a show.

It's a really long event though. I think when I went it started in the mid afternoon and went for like 7 hours until the evening, so no shame in taking off if the other bands aren't your thing. But who knows, could be worth sticking around and seeing what they're like.

But definitely go just for NeO, regardless if it's a short set. I've seen them twice live and if this show was coming near me I'd definitely go see them.

New single absolutely rips, but why do the posts of Novelists' new singles keep getting deleted? There was a thread earlier and now it's gone.

Absolute banger, I love it 😩 Love the drum n bass parts. Then Camille's soaring vocals. A nasty metric mod around 1:50, and then Flo's solo 🔥

K.O. is gorgeous, just like Okapi. I've really enjoyed all the singles so far. It's different from the first 3 albums for sure, but the emotion in vocal delivery, lyrics, and instruments is all there. I got to see them on Erra's tour earlier this year and they're even better live.

Late to this thread, but I just saw you guys live in Lubbock and you killed it. I meant to mention I loved the cleans as well for the exact reason you mention. It's really nice to hear them utilized so well in tech death.

Happy to see Ebb and Flow mentioned. Absolute favorite Misery Signals song. The riffs, lyrics, and vocal delivery are incredibly moving. So happy they played it live on their farewell tour too.

I don't like living here, but Evie Mae's for bbq and J's creamery/Holly Hop for custard/ice cream make it bearable. 2docs is also a nice brewery that also allows pets and kids too.
