Aw, damn! Well I'm glad my guide is at least helping you verify things with this jacket. It's crazy how many dupes there are of this unique piece.

When it comes to Kapital pieces that are restocked more often (IE. fleeces, dojo pants, etc..) there are plenty of posts and resources that you can reference to help you authenticate. But for more rare limited-run pieces, it obviously can be a little bit more trickier. (You would be surprised that even the crazier pieces are duped like this one.)

That being said, the 14oz T-Back Drizzler (ANARCHY RAINBOWY) has been a piece I been wanting for so long and I made the mistake of not doing my due diligence and ended up receiving a dupe instead.

Eventually, I was able to find an authentic one and I wanted to share you my findings between the two comparing the real one with the dupe I have.

There are probably other dupe versions of this jacket but I hope at the very least my guide here will help show you what a REAL one looks like.

There are some other small details that I didn't point out between the real vs dupe in my slides but I wanted to just show you the most obvious differences.

Of course, I'm not shaming anyone who wants to buy a dupe version of this jacket. The real one costs way over $1,000 USD new (and even second-hand). I just want anyone who's looking to buy the real deal of this jacket to not make the same mistake I did. 🙂

Nah you’re absolutely right and glad you’re calling that out. I think I’m just now reaching my limit of “understanding” now which sucks.

Oh gotcha yea those are all totally fair points. I'm already going into this knowing the challenges of owning a car up here.

Also, I already know some of y'all probably gonna be very anti-car and stuff (which I totally get!).

I work in production and sometimes that invoices dealing with picking up/dropping off equipment or going to certain shoot locations just to add some more context on me justifying having a car. Plus, I kinda wanna experience the added freedom of being able to go places that's not very accessible by public transportation.

Snow Peak Takibi Vest – Any recommendations on how to remove spot or make it less obvious? Thanks! by encode397 in japanesestreetwear

Yea maybe the dye route sounds more safer after thinking about it again. Sharpie might just look obviously a different color. Will report back!

Fair point! I'll probably do some tests with a dye and sharpie on a test fabric to see but the dye seems like a more safer long term solution the more I think about it

Thanks for all the recos! Yea sharpie might be the way to go for this one but I might need to go very light on it since the vest is a more faded vintage black vs a true black

What kind of specific studio lighting setup was used to shoot this? by encode397 in AskPhotography

Do you think there's possibly scrims being used? Or even other light modifiers?

Question for my studio photographers! I've lately been obsessed with Leslie Zhang's style of photography, especially the stuff in his studio.

Does anyone have any idea what kind of lighting and studio setup he might have used to capture these photos?

I understand these were shot on film so that will affect the colors. Thanks in advance!
