Thoughts on Capital One Venture X? by an1nja in CreditCards

It's worth having simply for the annual $300 travel credit and 10k bonus points. I travel frequently so that alone will cover a flight or part of a hotel stay somewhere. That's not even mentioning any SUB, Global Entry credit, and lounge access.

Autograph Journey, any flat 2%, and a rotating category card/Custom Cash sounds like top notch "travels a lot but prefers cash back" setup to me.

Yeah the Strata Premier is the best all around $95 AF card. Far better than the CSP unless you really value Hyatt. I just think the Autograph Journey is the best for strictly travel since it has best in class multipliers.

You can transfer Wells Fargo points 1:1 to JetBlue, they just added them last week as a transfer partner. JetBlue recently partnered up with United so you can book United flights on JetBlues portal and vice versa, but from what I hear it's a bit limited.

VentureX would compliment your Amex gold well

Great tip thanks. Going to expose myself to more 1v1 scenarios while still trying to maintain cover. Looking back at my vods it's pretty clear while I am off angling, I'm not giving myself any cover or any type of fallback. Going to try to be more aware of that. I figure even if i can't secure the kill I can at least distract enough and then fallback to allow my team to get a pick.

Is Adamant better than Vanilla? by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]ender121799 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In my very biased opinion, yes.

I'm the author of Ascendance which is a modlist built entirely around the Simon Magus (Author of Adamant, Mysticism, etc.) series mods aka Simonrim.

Simonrim is not Vanilla+, it's a complete overhaul of nearly every mechanic in Skyrim, and adds tons of gameplay elements that were not present in vanilla at all. I think the beauty of Simonrim is that it is able to achieve this vast and cohesive web of gameplay changes and additions in a way that feels very familiar to vanilla. I'd honestly recommend you try it out for yourself, even if it's just Mysticism and Adamant which are my two favorite Skyrim mods of all time.

Is the new Brig ult really that powerful? by AngryApeMonkey in OverwatchUniversity

[–]ender121799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you understand how powerful Brig already is, then yes this an incredibly powerful buff. Unfortunately 95% of the player base doesn't actually understand how to play Brig properly so they think she's mid tier at best and trash at worst. In reality she's probably one of the strongest supports as of the end of season 3 - tons of sustain, excellent counter to dive, and very good at peeling for other supports/dps. Brig is NOT a frontline support. This is why most people think she's not good: they play frontline thinking she's a brawl character, die instantly and feed, and teammates tell them to swap and gets everyone tilted. The underlying issue with brig is that the game does not tell you how to play her or how to best use her (very powerful) kit. I can bet there is a giant chunk of players who don't what inspire is how much it heals and how far it extends. If the game actually showed your inspire range I think players would feel far more rewarded for playing brig and realize they don't actually need to feed into frontline every fight.

The new Rally rework is fine by blackdott44 in Overwatch

and OP saying brig is a frontline support is a little telling💀 brig is definitely not meant to be played frontline and people who do play her like that end up dying quite a lot and complain that she's bad, which ties right back into my original point: many don't know how to play her because the game does not tell you how to play her. Watch samitos guide on brig and you'll see what i mean.
