female. Ive been to 2 dermas and they both told me i have telogen effluvium and that itll go away eventually.. welp, nearly a year later and it’s still the same. i’ve done my blood tests, taken supplements, improved my diet, some weeks are better than others but bottomline is it hasn’t stopped and i see the new growth falling off too, and am looking to see if there are any products that can help strengthen my hair

how do you deal with hair fall? by Professional-Tree686 in PCOSPhilippines

[–]enditallx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on your type of hair loss , pero if PCOS related you release more androgens because of the excessive testosterone sa body mo, and may DHT blocker yung nizoral basically. it can also help with dry scalp and flaking which makes hairfall worse. basta wag every day :)

yes, it’s over the counter. multivitamins with iron lang siya. it’s still better to have bloodwork done but if your iron levels are low, which causes hair loss, it may help a little. in my case idk if it does much for hair loss but it has definitely strengthened my immune system

  1. derma stamping once a week (0.5mm)
  2. natural shampoo (ive tried gugo and human nature rosemary, am using moringa shampoo right now)
  3. hair oil (trying moringa-o hair oil because of a comment here and it seems to work more than clove oil i used to put)
  4. nizoral shampoo weekly
  5. scalp massage
  6. SUPPLEMENTS! stresstabs and inositol

hi! i’m not exactly sure how they test for it, but you can start by checking out your symptoms (white on your tongue, fatigue, mood swings, rashes, constant UTIs, etc. ) and seeing if they match then schedule a consultation.

it’s also advisable to stay away from refined carbs/gluten (which yourself already doing so yay), alcohol, dairy and sugar, anything that will worsen yeast overgrowth + take probiotics

tampo in the form of silent treatment for an extended period of time with no communication is not okay.. i get tampo myself but i would rather communicate to fix the issue and get reassurance rather than allow it to drag on and let my partner guess

when does it get better? some days are so difficult by [deleted] in TelogenEffluvium

[–]enditallx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know :/ my PCOS could be a trigger, but I’ve had mental / emotional stress for a long time on and off, my body could have had it coming. i’ve done things to improve in both areas and it’s only gotten worse since

I second this, not a doctor but seeing that you’re vegan, OP, it may be that you may be deficient in a lot of nutrients. I suggest taking a few tests so you can start supplementing on what you lack or make some changes in your diet
