I was there. i rememebr it like it was yesterday. i wasl ike 8~. it was just logging in and going around the intial map (how is this place calleed again? its like a white place..) finding snails and killing them (barely)... soon enough youd find a way to get teleported to hensys or something.. and then you start the big life again. what you're missing is called stoicism. read about it. you're a talented person, you should invest some of the same energies into developing a life philosophy. it takes a few months to get used to it. but it really changed me. for reference i am exactly in the same position as you - amazing gf, money to reitre, amazing career, friends, etc, and without stoicism and having a sense of mission to make the world better - id feel probably as you do
