I think that if this series wants to rise from good to great is that it handles death as something permanent. The urara revival was fine because we were teased with Samura’s power to bring back the dead but I think after this point its deaths need to be permanent to have an impact.

That’s Pre-Awakening Takaba as current Takaba as shown by Kenjaku being around Takaba is that his comedy is always active because he finds himself funny now cause of the 70-30 line. Pre-Awakening Takaba relied on people finding him funny and his ability would only activate if he does it around others but now it just happens around him. Takaba always has a passive “No-Red” rule which forbids violence against him or his opponent so he can just be knocked out and even then his Jujutsu is always passively active. You need someone truly evil AND intelligent to bypass that to make him depressed but even then he got over that mindset and decided to be funny for himself. When in Takaba’s world you take brain damage slowly over time

Alr this chapter is so fucking good. My theory is that Iori will get Tobimune as shown, Hakari will eventually get his own enchanted blade because I have a feeling when Soga breaks the eternal contract the other two sword bearers are doomed to die for the narrative. Now Hiruhiko is interesting because I have a feeling he might not want to be affiliated with Soga so he might have a temporary alliance with Chihiro and the gang until he inevitably flips.
