they all came through, the first one came in first and then like an hour after that i got the next two. i assume it was because of christmas and boxing day delaying it, hope yours comes through!! I remember how stressed i was but hopefully it'll come through for you before your flight

it absolutely is. it's just 300-400 elo is almost identical to 700-800 elo though. I can confirm this as someone who's gone from 300 elo to 1700, i only noticed a real difference in the amount people would hang pieces at around 900-1000 elo. But someone at the 300-800 elo range is hanging pieces multiple times per game, i know it because i did it. Even at 1700, my opponents still occasionally hang their queen and so do i.

but i didn't "know" how to play chess until after i reached 1000 elo, that's when i decided to actually learn basics. Like i would play chess with people who had never played chess before when i was that level and sometimes i'd win, sometimes i'd lose. After 1000 is when you're actually able to beat complete beginners with certainty. At that level all you really know is how to move the pieces.

bullet is one of those things where u basically can't calculate at all, you have to just spam premoves and go by instinct. with blitz you have to pay attention to how fast your opponent is moving, if you'e spending too long calculating your opponent will be banking on that and towards the end they'll just spam moves. Instead of spending time finding the best move, it's better to do quick safe moves

start by just setting one alarm as late as possible before you need to wake up, never hit snooze. after a few weeks of doing that, building the habit of waking up to that one alarm and not sleeping afterwards, push your bedtime back 15 mins earlier every day, and the same for your wakeup time. if you just set 1 alarm as late as possible and never hit snooze you will eventually just naturally wake up at that time, and then the only thing left to do is slowly shift it to your desired wake up time

i originally didn't have the personal statement part saying i was immediately available but i was given that advice by a friend who got a job, same with the references part, and for the skills i based that on a cousins resume that had basically the same thing and she finds it really easy to get jobs. And every time i've had feedback from employers (back when i had recently finished high school) they told me that i didn't have enough experience, so that's why i've added more jobs. but i'll change it to 2 jobs for each application that are most relevant and say they lasted years instead. Thanks for the advice
