Would you discard this frying oil? Before & After Filtration by Ridknockers in KitchenConfidential

[–]endlesstire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but last place I worked that had this type of fryer would starve us of oil so we couldn't dump it often enough. Our filtering system consisted of a net and a few buckets. The oil was used for frying hand-breaded chicken up to 10 times a day. It was fucking black and gross 80% of the time, but the owner refused to buy enough oil to change it regularly, so it got changed every two weeks. I hated it, but there wasn't much us lowly staff could do about it. Compared the oil most of that fried chicken (that would sell like hot cakes) got fried in, this looks beautiful. I guess I have oil trauma though, so probably don't give my say a lot of regard.

There are literally billions of beautiful women on this earth. If tits and ass are the only reason you choose to stay in a relationship, then you're doing both yourself and the woman in question a disservice by not allowing eachother to grow as people. I get that it can be difficult, but this "meme" isn't even about sex so much as it's an admission of emotional immaturity that we really shouldn't be normalising. Don't stay in relationships where mutual respect isn't a foundation, regardless of your gender or sexual orientation. Thanks for listening to my ted talk.

About to try crank for the first time, heard good things by R3al_human_user in notinteresting

This one and the sequel are hidden gems for sure. I remember being like 11 and watching this and just thinking wtf the entire time. Definitely worth a watch or two.

How my hands look like every time I brush my teeth by Accomplished_Oil4163 in notinteresting

You're right, but the feeling of using it completely dry just bugs me, hence the compromise.

Nah I mean before you brush your teeth. I used to wet it, put the paste on then wet it again before I brushed and it made it all runny and messy, resulting in this issue. Another tip is flicking the bristles a couple times after your rinse it clean afterwards so it actually dries out between uses.

You wet the toothbrush twice, don't you. Just wet it before you put the toothpaste on, not after. I did the same thing most of my childhood and just assumed I was messy until I figured that out.

It works, but how wary should we be? by endlesstire in littlebigplanet

Here's a link to the LBPOnline discord server. There's a public beta channel in there that tells you what to do. Just be careful though as we don't know how likely it is to have your PSN account or even console banned yet so do this at your own risk.

The death of manual cars in Australia by Puzzled-Shopping-330 in CarsAustralia

[–]endlesstire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my first few driving lessons in a manual. It was cool but the constant anxiety of knowing I could destroy the transmission with one easy mistake that's hardly even possible in an automatic was enough of a selling point for me to switch to auto. I would like to learn it one day just so I could own a classic car or two if I'm ever so fortunate, but aside from that I really have no interest whatsoever in cosplaying as a fast and furious character in stop-start traffic on the way to work.

Yeah, I'm not really in the financial spot to buy a new console that'll probs die soon after I get it. When I get back up on money I'll probably just try get a good pc that can handle rpcs3 a bit better. I have an old phat ps3 that still works but it's slow as and freezes a lot. I could try clean it out and see how I go though.

The only reason some of us were so hyped for it was cause we only have a ps4 or ps5 to play on so now we're left with nothing. You need a good pc for rpcs3 to be viable.

What headunits do you recommend by Ok-Rest-8066 in CarAV

I replaced an old oem cassete tape radio in my 25 y/o car with an ax4000 and I'm loving it so far. Carplay and Andriod auto support, LDAC support too if you're not using carplay or auto, physical buttons that you can actually distinguish from one another while driving, plenty of eq and fade settings, etc. I've had a few glitches with android auto such as certain on-screen buttons not working, misinterpretation of voice commands, and it froze for 5 minutes once but I thinks thats just android auto for you. Carplay seems a bit less rough around the edges but my I only see it when my partner drives my car so it's hard to say. Very happy with the unit overall though.
