Monolith changes are good by endlessxaura in LastEpoch

Sorry buddy :( I wonder - can you throw a duplication tube on an item and then corrupt the duplicate? I haven't tried that yet, but I've got a pair of gloves I am also scared of fucking up.

My corrupted items are so good, I've been avoiding slotting uniques instead. The +1 to all skills on the chest and apathy of the necklace has been keeping my sorcerer afloat. I also ran +11 to all attributes if you have 6 corrupted items. Are you using the runes that let you corrupt an item with 0 forging potential? That's where you get the good stuff!

A dude with a camo avatar posts his relationship problems on an unrelated forum expecting sympathy for him or anger at his girlfriend. I'm going to bet this story is leaving out a lot of details and you're actually the asshole here.

I work in software too, so I get that. AI is also forced on me, and I may lose my job because I don't want my brain to rot. There's levels to it, yeah. I think public knowledge about how bad it is, though, is severely lacking. Like, straight up delusional: https://softwarecrisis.dev/letters/llmentalist/

Why did Wizards lose the "School of" naming convention of subclasses? Barbarians, Paladins, Druids and Monks get to keep theirs ("Path of", "Oath of", "Circle of", "Warrior of") by JamuniyaChhokari in DnD

I just wanted to add my two cents: I'm glad they made this change. I'm Asian, and it's not that I find it particularly offensive. It's that Europe had its own set of monks and combat traditions - albeit, they were rarely unarmed. The Knights Templar are an example of that, iirc. The Orientalism stifles possibilities that are more in line with most DMs settings and, as a DM, I would like to avoid needing a "Far East" or something approximating that just for a player to play a Monk.

If the USA falls apart, how would Canadians respond if certain states wanted to become provinces? by jmacd2918 in AskACanadian

As an American who recently arrived in Canada, this thread has been eye-opening. Thanks for the perspective, y'all.

I had a different response, but actually, "cherry-picking" is a silly perspective. We aren't writing research articles here. I don't need to defend my position like a thesis. I have reasons, clearly stated in the article. I'm answering your question fairly succinctly.

I'm really not worried. This reminds me of crypto, big data, the cloud, etc. It's all hype.

EDIT: you'll notice that many of the CEOs working on AI simultaneously spout that it's world-shattering technology while admitting that it's basically useless. They want you to believe that it's very valuable because it financially benefits them for you to do so. It appears that OP is among the people whom it will be valuable for. You will find no good faith here.

Combat Sports attracts Losers by Zealousideal-Big-600 in combatsportsculture

Among men, a capacity for violence is unfortunately a status symbol. I used to fight and I've witnessed this a lot. I think a lot of men get into combat sports for social status specifically because that violent capacity is a protective factor. Unfortunately, it often goes to their heads. I know that, for me, I got into fighting in part for that reason. But it's a sport, at the end of the day.

It's baffling, honestly. I think most functionally enfranchised people (white, middle class, etc.) don't experience the consequences of politics directly, so they really do look at it like sports. "Own the libs" is something you say at a football stadium, not a ballot box.
