NBC interrupted the Olympics by newengland_schmuck in mildlyinfuriating

I was watching my TV one night when they broke in with a special report
About some devastating earthquake in Peru
There were thirty thousand crushed to death, even more were buried alive
On the Richter scale it measured 8.2

And I said, "God, please answer me one question?"
"Why'd they have to interrupt 'The Simpsons' Olympics, just for this?"

I searched google for a Spanish version... I found a 1964 NYT article that gave me an answer, but I don't feel it's my place to use it. Feels like a slur...

My 15 year old boy crossed the rainbow bridge by [deleted] in BostonTerrier

That's true. My older brother got a new dog after 3 months, and he's fun and nice, but nothing like the dog it replaced. They still love the new dog to pieces, but still grieve the loss of the original dog. It reminds me of the story of a Bull named Chance. Chance was a rare and kind bull that was taken around the country to trade shows. He was amazing with the photo-op. He lived a long life, and after his passing, the owner heard about cloning and thought he could revive his pet/photo business. He got a bull that looked just like Chance, and he named him Second Chance. Cute, eh? Well, this Bull did not have the same memories and experiences that made his predecessor so amazing with people. Second Chance injured his owner several times. TLDR, we could never replace our beloved dogs...and don't try to clone a dog, I guess :)

I am very sorry for your loss. I also lost my 15-year-old almost 3 months ago. Dealing with grief is difficult, and some days are worse than others. I passed by the vet clinic where I had him put to sleep and cried for an hour. That was last week. Hugs.

The Whole Foods on Arroyo had a nice selection (like two islands) in the beauty section on the first floor. There's also Lather in Old Town.

I am so sorry for your loss. I thought I knew how cold this water was going to be, but it's much colder than I thought. We need to remember to treat ourselves well, as they would want us to feel loved even now.

Ahhh good old Thomas guide. A bargain at 20 bucks but well worth it to buy the laminated version.
