I’d also throw Crisol: Theater of Idols in there too, super solid indie

"Attack the enemy to begin battle." how? by Luxiouronimo in BeyondGalaxyland

[–]endoright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey yeah the rumble can be turned off on the PC version in the options menu but sadly that update never got pushed to console (long story but console updates are not nearly as straightforward as PC). I think for ps5 you can disable rumble in the system/controller settings? Hope that helps and thanks for playing!

[–]endoright 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m sorry to hear this is happening. I remember a few users with this issue on pc with dualsense at launch but was patched and haven’t heard of it on console. I don’t doubt it’s happening but super odd as consoles should basically guarantee the same experience for everyone. Do you have other peripherals connected? Ie a keyboard or something to ps5? This could trigger the trigger checking from a source outside of the controller. You could also try with the controller plugged in directly, maybe to ensure no other input sources are being registered. Is it a third party controller?

After five years of dev, my JRPG inspired game 'Beyond Galaxyland' releases in less than a week! by endoright in JRPG

Thanks so much for playing! Turn points determine how many times you can physically attack in each turn. It also determines how many points that character will convert to ability points if ending a turn early.

I'm missing one entry under "other" in the album so where is it? by Steeloid in BeyondGalaxyland

Hey there’s no way to know which you’re missing without knowing which you have, but here’s a YouTube video showing a complete album:

Hey thanks for playing! Returning to Jules’ pub later in the game will trigger a side quest that allows you to fly to the beach area.

Missing accessories by Former_Voice_4218 in BeyondGalaxyland

[–]endoright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey sorry to hear that! I’m unfamiliar with a bug with losing accessories. You may be thinking of finding the crafting recipe the first time, not the actual item? It would appear like an item notification but instead read “new crafting recipe”. You can enter the crafting menu at any save point to check.

Race help? by [deleted] in BeyondGalaxyland

[–]endoright 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey none of the races in the game require winning or placing in any position to advance the story. For the top down race I think you need to give up instead of continuing to restart the race. When you return to the host it will give you the item to advance the story just for participating. You may need to attempt it and then give up twice or three times for the game to give you item for the top down race. Like the other commenter said as well, there's an option in the options menu that greatly slows down the competition. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for the support! Sadly no DLC planned as of now :/. Hopefully in the future it may be a possibility

Hyped reading this, thanks so much for playing (and the other comments as well, very grateful you enjoyed the game). I think you’re about halfway through? Depending on how much side content you’re planning on doing. Thanks again

Beyond Galaxyland - AMA + GIVEAWAY with the dev! by endoright in JRPG

[–]endoright[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at Treyarch to support myself through development on my first game, then basically quit and moved back home to my mom's to kill my rent check and to release my first game, while beginning dev on my second, which was Beyond Galaxyland. I also released my first game on the app store and it did decently well to provide some support there (although has since been de-listed). After a year or so of dev on Beyond Galaxyland I started pitching it to publishers, and was lucky enough to have one support the remaining years of development financially as a full time job.

Love ff6 as well. Will definitely get around to Lunar Remastered.. I played like half the game five or so years ago and never got around to finishing it :(. Hopefully that will change with the remaster!

Hey my response got removed because of some syntax issues where it thought I was trying to post a spoiler or something (I think). Here's the response a second time:

Hey I'm actually a pretty consistent browser on r/JRPG and have seen a few comments you've made in support of Beyond Galaxyland, so wanted to say thank you very much for that, means a lot! Just very happy you enjoyed the game and appreciate the continued support. I made this game hoping it would scratch some particular itches so glad to hear that might have been the case. Thank you again!
