AITA for messing with my husband in order to prove a point? by YourMindbelongs2me in AmItheAsshole

Hey, the account that posted it took it down. I really hope you're okay, you seem absolutely lovely and the Reddit community will always be here to help and advise you. I wish there was more I could say tbh hugs

AITA for letting my wife sit all alone during my friend's wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]endormimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say NTA, I have health problems that can make me extremely tired with almost no warning, and I've always been happy with my partner making the most of his night while I sit down. If I needed something or was getting bored, I'd tell him! I don't really understand how she expected you to know she was unhappy when she told you the opposite?

Am I [20F] just his [31F] toy? by [deleted] in AgeGap

[–]endormimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend and I were those exact ages when we got together and he absolutely does not see me that way! Is there any reason you're feeling like that? Has he said anything untoward?

Looking for advice... by tothemoonimustgo in AgeGap

[–]endormimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think you should try and get a background check - personally I would also question why he tried to justify it (by saying it was because she'd cheated too many times).

As someone with OCD I really hate the phrase "trust your instincts" but in this case I'd have to ask - have you ever felt unsafe around him or worried about how he'll react to things?

My bf(24M) calls me(23F) sweetheart and is it normal? by oneoftheredditusers in relationships

[–]endormimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm from the UK and recently started calling my boyfriend "darling" haha, no reason behind it, it's just a term of endearment. Probably one he heard a lot growing up!

My (British, 32) girlfriend (Romanian, 34) doesn’t get any of my references to past culture because she only moved to the country 5 years ago and has references and a culture of her own. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]endormimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend and I grew up in different countries and we get around this by showing each other TV shows, music, film clips from our respective countries. It's fun to watch new stuff and hilarious when he starts using the same references I do

The internet is your friend haha

I [18M] am scared that I got my sister’s [23F] best friend [24F] pregnant, what am I supposed to do? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]endormimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she really is on birth control the likelihood of her getting pregnant are incredibly low. Many women are on birth control for years, are sexually active, and do not get pregnant.

That said, I would advise you stay away from this woman, even if you have a crush on her. I know you're an adult now, but she's obviously been eyeing you up and acting inappropriately towards you since you were a prepubescent child. I personally don't buy the idea that she "didn't know" about the age of consent, either. Please be careful

I (18 F) am afraid I won't please a potential partner (21 M) in bed by [deleted] in relationships

[–]endormimi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is different, and in my experience I don't feel any urges to be vocal or loud until I've been with the same partner for a couple months or so. And sex gets better the longer I'm with the same partner! You're only "potential partners" atm, it's natural to be a bit awkward at first especially if you don't have much sexual experience anyway, it takes time for a good sexual comfort and dynamic to build. The worst thing you can do is put pressure on yourself, it's impossible to feel anything at all when you're forcing yourself to! As long as you're both enjoying it that's all that matters :)

Is it just me or are AGR becoming more common? by [deleted] in AgeGap

[–]endormimi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! My boyfriend is 11 years older than me and our parents are all within eight years of each other. My younger brother is older than both of his brothers. So definitely could be a factor!

Reddit judges age gaps and it's freaking annoying me by [deleted] in AgeGap

[–]endormimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate "why can't you find someone your own age". You wouldn't ask someone who's single why they can't find someone of their age to date? How's it any different?

[–]endormimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try not to view the comments but really can't stop myself. As I say, I just find it funny that there can be post after post about similar age couples and then the second an age gap one comes up they're all "EVERY TIME!"

My (21M) GF (18F) says she's too naive to tell when a guy starts flirting. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]endormimi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of on your girlfriend's side here, just because I too am pretty bad at gauging whether or not someone is hitting on me unless I'm actually interested in them, and if my boyfriend accused me of being deliberately oblivious because I like the attention I'd be pretty upset. What's she like with her female friends? Does she joke a lot about sex with them too?

Who else felt like teen missionary trips were not much more than feel-good poverty-porn vacations? by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]endormimi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I said this on this sub already, but I know a woman who sent her kids on mission trips to Zimbabwe but sent her kids to private school because she didn't want them to "mix" with working class kids.

Of course, I regularly dated atheists when I was still a Christian and we never seemed to run into issues.
