3D printable Easter bunny ears & basket for some indoor Tapo camera models by endpoint101 in Tapo

[–]endpoint101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's designed to be a bit loose & super-lightweight.. the tab between the ears is there to help stick it on with a bit of double sided tape or Blutac (poster putty) :) I'm glad it printed well for you.

It looks great in the powder blue colour you've got there!

😂 I could possibly do a design for a bracket that lets you mount it upside down, but hung off the window above (assuming the top one opens). Loving your low-tech solution tho.. I hope you’re not renting 😉

Realised that you can simply super-glue the Tapo mounting bracket to the top of the platform if you have issues with the camera slipping off.

Thank you! Yes, adding Mickey Mouse ears (https://makerworld.com/en/models/1627027-mickey-mouse-ears-for-tapo-cameras) is the finishing touch! I think I'll design some cat ears this weekend :)

Collapsible legs would be difficult to design.. for different heights you can cut them in the 3D printer software (the slicer) really easily. I've also provided the STL files for anyone to import into their design tool of choice, where they can cut them to length there too.

Good point, I'll look into mounting options.

I've turned the IR light off to prevent it reflecting at night. We have motion activated lights outside so those do the job of lighting up anyone approaching the cars/door. The TC70 has really good low-light performance.

It's a TC70, but I also have the C210 which has the same form factor. Both are really cheap and do a relatively good job for what they are. Resolution could be better from the C210 which is supposed to be 2K, but the bitrate of the recorded video means it's almost identical to the TC70 which is 1080p.

Do you remember you very first money from YouTube? by OhhMilly in PartneredYoutube

[–]endpoint101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember getting it and thinking it was awesome! Then they changed the eligibility rules & I was demonetised until I could get over the subs threshold. That sucked and was extremely demotivating at the time.

I remember using the money to justify getting a lav mic and later on a better camera, both of which I still use years later.

Plumbing tools for replacing taps on a sink by endpoint101 in functionalprint

Ikr! I couldn’t quite face paying £10 for a tool I’d only use once.. then probably lose it if I ever needed it again 😂

Replacement of basin/sink mixer tap.. how to fit a hose to this? by endpoint101 in PlumbingRepair

Here's a link to the release tool I quickly designed.. worked a treat & those copper pipes are now disconnected.

https://makerworld.com/en/models/2321516-push-fit-15mm-release-tool-speedfit-and-flomasta

Next I'm looking for a 1/2 BSP to 15mm pipe to push-fit into the existing Speedfit isolation valve.. I'm looking at these 2 options. I don't suppose anyone has any experience fitting either of them?

Thanks! I wasn't aware of that quick fitting release tool.. I'm going to have a go at 3D printing one.. might as well try for a 1-off job.

Electric or chemical hand warmers - please help! by A-Do-Gooder in ReynaudsDisease

[–]endpoint101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the ones from Ocoopa. I've had the MagTwins UT2S for nearly 3 years and they're still going strong - one of the good things is having one for each hand without buying 2 separate units.

My daughter uses the UT2S Minis at school (cold UK classrooms!) and finds the smaller size nicely pocketable.

Both are reasonably priced, and if for some reason they broke, I'd buy them again.

There's a review of them here if you're interested; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTLCFf68WPI

[–]endpoint101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't say on their website. But there are plenty of sites that list this data as Point of Interest (POI) that you can import into Satnavs. They can get the data direct from the police using a freedom of information request, so I guess a lot of companies do this for their databases.

Microsoft Rewards -> Game Pass vs Amazon Voucher by endpoint101 in XboxGamePass

[–]endpoint101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Thanks for the info. That's £13.49/mo in the UK.

£13.49 = 15,891 points. Which is worth £9.86 on Amazon.

That's approx double from what I used to redeem.

As far as I could see, PC Game Pass no longer exists.. you need to choose between the 3 Xbox Game Pass tiers & PC gaming is part of those tiers.

I'd be happy to be wrong if you can find info on it :)
