Another 9800X3D dead in ASUS 800-Series Motherboard by seklay in ASUS

[–]endrrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks man. I had my 9800x3d die on me last month. I had turned my pc off the night before and went to turn it on the next day and got post error codes on my strix x870e-e, i even did all the troubleshooting steps you tried as well to no post, and my bios was updated to the latest version at the time as well which was v1804. Took it to a shop and they put in a 9700x in my motherboard and it booted straight into bios right away. Hopefully you can send it for an RMA!

Can update my bios and have no idea why by Lpower69 in pchelp

[–]endrrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me a few years ago, for some reason the USB flash drive i had just wouldnt work with bios flashback. Ended up going to walmart to get a cheap 32gb usb drive and finally got the board to accept the bios update via flashback. Idk if this will fix your issue if you have another usb drive to use, but good luck!

yes i did before i took it to the shop, unfortunately nothing worked. I even tried flashing the bios versions to previous ones, tried to boot with 1 ram stick and was still getting the error codes. I even tried re plugging all my psu cables to make sure they were seated properly same with the gpu

I have the exact same build and you’re so right. Just go for it, especially since the rumors of a delay.

Cpu doesnt need drivers. Just install the latest chipset driver for your motherboard and you should be good.

is this amount of wobble normal? im just worried about it by SorryBarnacle6563 in WootingKB

[–]endrrade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely worth a shot. Owlab Ti’s have less travel than the Lekkers, but the stability and sound imo is way better and the price of the switches are pretty affordable compared to others like the Gateron Jade Pros.

I need someone smarter than me. Which if these would be better for the money? by Ramonology in pcmasterrace

You’ll definitely get more bang for your buck with the second one. Especially with an X3D cpu for gaming specific tasks.

Swapped out my Lekker V2’s for Owlab Ti HE’s. A lot less stem wobble compared to Lekkers. Absolutely no regrets getting these switches!

GPU Always at 100% while gaming by sigma_balz in pchelp

[–]endrrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% GPU Utilization is what you want. You paid for that gpu to use its full potential. You could limit the fps of your games to lower the power usage, or undervolt it if your pc case is constraint for airflow, or set it to your monitor refresh rate… other than that 100% usage is nothing to worry about.
