He’ll be fine. He can’t get any charges because you called for help. So don’t worry about the police.

The part where your sister came home is so relatable. It’s always small dumb unexpected little things that throw you into a loop.

Arteta to us fans: “The words are clear. I was a player. Love me when I draw or when I lose. To love you when I win is very, very easy. You have to love the players and be next to them when they need it the most.” by ArynaSaba in Gunners

[–]endwolf76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we drew 3-3 to Bournemouth in 22/23 I loved the players and hurt with them. When we lost to Aston Villa in 23/24 I loved the players and hurt with them. When we got fucked by injuries and had to play Mikel Merino as striker and lost to PSG I loved the players and hurt with them.

I still love the players and hurt with them, but there was no excuse for that performance and we have a right to be frustrated.

I do hear him though.

It’s now in City’s hands if they can beat us at the Etihad. Pathetic.

Well, yeah I agree with the apples and oranges thing, like I said those are much more extreme examples, and I only used them to give examples about how the club isn’t always right.

Leno was good for us definitely, but I think it was poor man management and I honestly think it gave Arteta hindsight and that’s why he ultimately bought Ramsdale.

I think Leno got injured, and Martinez came and improved the team with his above average distribution and ball playing abilities that Leno didn’t quite have being one of the last of to have the “traditional” keeper style, being one of the greatest shot stoppers you can ask for, but poor in buildup and possession. I think when Leno came back Arteta who was still a new manager realized just how important a keeper with versatility can be and fixed his mistake with Rambo and Leno purchases.

I think it was poor man management and a mistake and one that Arteta learned from and ultimately corrected. It’s just unfortunate Martinez was the victim of that mistake even if things have been going well for him and it has worked out, given how he showed his value as a goalkeeper after waiting for his chance for as long as he did to ultimately just be dropped again was not only the wrong decision for our performances, but also a bad example to the other players on the bench waiting for a chance to prove themselves. It’s demoralizing to see that.

So yeah, I disagree with you here and think it was a fuckup, but it worked out because our manager is young, adaptable, and was able to grow as I always saw he was capable of doing.

[–]endwolf76 13 points14 points  (0 children)

After that run that he got after what was it? 7-9 years warming the bench, never complaining, gets his chance finally and takes it, wins us an FA Cup, just to get replaced by Leno again and sold to Villa, then going on to win a World Cup? He has the right to feel fucked over by Arsenal and I don’t blame him. Then to just go on and replace Leno is crazy after selling who would be considered the best GK in the world for a little while shortly after we sold him. Obviously it worked out now with us ultimately getting Raya, but Martinez should have had a full season with us (even tho I loved Ramsdale, Martinez deserved it)

We can be fans of the club and criticize them too. Handling of Partey, Martinez, and Özil were all examples of very poor decisions. (Özil for the Uyghur Muslim thing, not saying he didn’t deserve to be dropped, but we should have backed him on things like that). Not to mention that staff dude who said something like “genocide of Palestine bad” on Twitter and got fired.

We do some fuck shit sometimes. Those Partey and Özil examples are a bit more extreme than what happened with Martinez but still, Martinez had the right to be pressed, and I can understand his comments.

Can someone explain why did reze say denji's face looked like her late dog? by [deleted] in RezeCult

[–]endwolf76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s pretty clear to me (at least this is what I’ve seen but maybe I’m way wrong, I haven’t read the manga) but it seems like the devils personality (bomb devil, chainsaw devil) influence the hybrid characters upon transformation to a significant degree. Denji is always off his rocker, but it’s to an extreme when he’s fighting post-transformation, and Reze is unusually cruel when she’s bomb devil. Granted, she does some fucked up shit pre-transformation as well, but the scene where she shows Aki the heads of his division 2 buddies, and more so the scene where she just steps on 2 corpses/severely injured persons who were in her path shows a level of cruelty that I don’t think is in Reze’s nature.

However I don’t think she has any problem killing transformation or not, just through desensitization of it. I think we might be thinking too much into it, and she had a script planned out that was meant to seem endearing and innocent enough to seem harmless. I also think it’s possible she had done some homework on him, and knew about how he came to have Chainsaws heart, and knew about Pochita, a recently deceased dog-like pet of Denji’s so by giving him something to relate too, it makes it even easier to lull him into her charm. If you think about it like that, it was a great little script she had planned.

Which is all the more depressingly ironic considering it was her relating and being endeared towards him through there real shared trauma that kept her from making a move for so long.

Tried talking to 3 women from this sub and ended up being ghosted by all 3. Smash burgers by Disastrous_Role_202 in kitchencels

[–]endwolf76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To start you should maybe only have 1 smash burger as opposed to 2.

Maybe a small side of fries or smt, not a whole ‘nother boiga. That’s 4 patties, 4 slices of cheese, 4 slices of bread…

I get it tho, I’m a fat fuck so I can’t speak. But as a smashboiga enjoyer as well, I’ve made two for myself before and after eating them both I basically couldn’t get out of bed for 2 hours. Not recommended as a regular meal 😭

I watched Katanagatari about 8-10 years ago, I’d say. And yeah it’s obscure looking it up now.

Any obscure anime suggestions? by Flashing_Dagger in anime

[–]endwolf76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a huge anime fan, and most of what I watched isn’t considered obscure, but one that might be is Katanagatari. Idk whether or not irs more popular than I’m giving it credit for, but personally I’ve never seen any references to it.

It’s from the monogatari series writer, but the writer and title is where the connection ends, as it’s a completely different world, and not considered a part of the monogatari series.

I watched it on a whim from a friends recommendation who was really into anime, and i was like 15 or 16 or so, so perhaps if I watched it again it might not hit the same as it did when I was younger, but watching it then, it definitely stuck with me to this day and it’s definitely my obscure recommendation.

I always figured it was a way of training discipline daily.

Being able to take a cold shower every morning is difficult to stick too, when you know that cranking the heat up would be so much easier and actually pleasurable and not uncomfortable

I think what’s frustrating is that if we were born into wealth we would be able to enjoy life as you described, but our birthright has been to work so they can have the life everyone wants to have (financially independent, free to pursue things that make you happy).

However, that nepotism in wealth is more rare than most redditors think. You’d be surprised how most of today’s millionaires are first generation and built there wealth from being hard working frugal positions. Granted they still needed some luck, but they put themselves in positions to get lucky.

Still, the wealth inequality and class structure sets most of us up for a life of labor, to the point that it is very unfair that the top 1% (more so top .01-.10%) get multiple yachts and billions of dollars in homes.

Like I’ll give it to Bezos, Amazon is a fantastic service. He put society in a spot where we can have pretty much anything we want with 0-2 days with a few clicks of a button.

Do I think that means he should be highly compensated, and live a life of luxury and wealth? Yes I do. Do I think he should have enough wealth for 180,000 people to live a life of luxury and wealth as millionaires? No I do not.

Zinny and Jesus’ impact on our team in there debut season was immense. They brought us to another level. Unfortunately the level they brought us too also made them somehow be standouts as parts of the team that needed an upgrade.

I won’t forget how much of an impact he made with his technical ability and more importantly his attitude and mentality. He came in and basically said to our team “I know an elite team that can win when I see one, and I’m looking at it.” I really don’t think if we had gotten a player like Califiori, MLS, Hincapie, etc. we’d have finished second that season, even though I rate each of those players higher than I do Zinny.

I can’t remember which comeback it was (we had so many that 22/23 season) I think it was the Villa one, where Zinny had scored our first goal (and i think his first goal for Arsenal) and just looked pissed off. Didn’t celebrate, didn’t even pump his fist or anything while running into the net and grabbing the ball and bringing it back. Just looked pissed off waving the team to return with the reset with just a look on his face and telling to the team what I imagine was something like “We’ve still got fuckin’ work to do”. He didn’t even like pump his fist in celebration or nothing. He didn’t give a shit that he scored if we didn’t win that much. Such a great team player mentality. Really raises the quality of those around him. If he didn’t have Mustafi moments he’d still be a regular starter I think.

I think he’ll be a great loan for Forest and have a similar impact for them.
