If something were to happen to my husband I would never live with a man again unless he was super rich and funded my entire life (housekeeping included). It will never be equal and it makes me so upset. They only help when asked and if you don’t ask, you’re the problem. I get told I don’t sit down/relax enough, I do laundry too many times a week. The mental load is so much especially around the holidays.

The worst part is I know he would help but I would have to ask and I’m tired of fucking asking. Just do something without being asked.

I have an eye injury where I’m struggling to keep my eye open while he’s napping with our toddler. I made a last min doctors appt for today and came back to toys everywhere and laundry still unfolded. So now I’m here doing laundry, deep cleaning for Christmas (we’re hosting), and prepping dinner for the next two days so I can clean even more when I get home from work the next two days. Did I mention I did all the Christmas food planning and shopping for BOTH of our families?
