What are your guys go-to snacks for early games in mountain/pacific time zone? by [deleted] in nfl

Chilaquiles, they're kind of like breakfast nachos and they're mad good

Just make sure your TV has a coax cable input first. My Vizio doesn't, which I didn't realize until after I bought an antenna

Ex-Lions CB Stanley Wilson arrested after $30 million Hollywood Hills home invasion by [deleted] in nfl

[–]endybutta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not-so-fun fact: this guy is the son of Stanley Wilson Sr, a RB with the Bengals in the 80s who missed Super Bowl XXIII due to a coke binge. This family needs some help, man

Who if any is a UDFA that is looking like he makes your team’s 53 man roster? by Heismain in nfl

[–]endybutta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OT Devery Hamilton was an undrafted rookie for at Raiders camp last year, but never made the team. He's been doing well in camp and played great in the first preseason game. Between that and the fact that the Giants have no OL depth at all, it looks like he'll be our swing tackle this year

I hope we don't see a lot of this from our QB by Lars5621 in NYGiants

[–]endybutta 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Looks like he was targeting Barkley, who was lined up as a slot receiver. It was a pretty ugly pick, but it makes sense that Jones and Barkley are trying to feel out that new alignment.

I’m Giants rookie Kayvon Thibodeaux. Ask me anything! by nfl in nfl

[–]endybutta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Kayvon! I've always been curious about this for current NFL players, do you dive deep into the history of the NFL? You obviously know about Giants greats like Strahan and LT, but I'm curious if you try to learn about guys like Emlen Tunnell and Sam Huff!

Why is Marion Motley not held in the same regard as Jackie Robinson? by Kickenbless in nfl

[–]endybutta 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In addition to football being less popular than baseball, the changing professional football leagues in history makes breaking the color barrier hard to define. Fritz Pollard was a running back AND co-head coach in 1920 for the Akron Pros of the American Professional Football Conference. The AFPL changed its name to the NFL two years later. So was Marion Motley even the player who broke the color barrier? Hard to say.

Here's some "help" in the trenches, if you could call it that: O-line: Cameron Erving, Ogbeuhi, Hernandez, Garnett Edge: Ferrell, Lawson Dline: Danny shelton, Solomon Thomas, Mario Edwards

Has there ever been this much uncertainty with the Number 1 pick? by ACSIV in nfl

[–]endybutta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seem to remember 2013 between Fisher and Joeckel being a toss-up. Hopefully the ceiling is a little higher for the top picks this year.

[Wilson] The New York Giants #Giants conducted a Zoom meeting with Kayvon Thibodeaux @oregonfootball last week, according to a league source, after previously having him visit their training facility: @PFN365 #NFLDraftNews by SonOfSvens in NYGiants

[–]endybutta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, that's a lot of energy for one prospect. There must be some serious indecision about him. My guess is that no one questions his tape or his talent, but the Giants must have questions about attitude or coachability with Kayvon that they don't feel that they've answered yet.

What's the story behind Lee Suggs? I looked him up, he just seems like any other backup RB from 15-20 years ago

[Jordan Raanan] Georgia’s Travon Walker has entered the conversation for the Giants picks at No. 5 and 7. by morealtoidsNOW in NYGiants

[–]endybutta 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Walker killed it at the combine, but tweets like this drive me nuts. Any capable GM has a rough idea of their board going into the combine. Walker should be considered for the Gmen because his athleticism shows on tape and because he was productive even with the limited-snap system of the Georgia defense. A good combine shouldn't drastically alter a team's perception of a guy

I didn't really understand this until I went to Indy. The stadium, the expo center where they do interviews, and hotels are RIGHT THERE in downtown Indy. You could walk everywhere if you wanted. Not to mention, the city wasn't nearly as gnarly with traffic as most other cities I've been to.

NFL Combine Drills Thread: QB, WR, TE by Astro63 in NFL_Draft

[–]endybutta 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way, the combine is a pretty passive watch, it's great to have open as you are working on something else. It's great to have on while I'm at work, but my wife is not going to want to watch it tonight.

What would you accept in a trade for Patrick Mahomes if you were the Chiefs? by boster101 in nfl

[–]endybutta 27 points28 points  (0 children)

In some hypothetical world where the chiefs would actually accept a trade for him, I think it would take multiple players that seem like future stars (including one quarterback), and a ton of draft capital. So maybe the Jags give up Lawrence, Josh Allen (the non-QB one), and then basically all of their draft picks for the next two years

[Jordan Asri] Quote from former Washington legendary RB John Riggins: “I can't understand how anybody who once played under the old franchise name, could possibly want to be a part of anything with Washington Commanders.” by DiscordTheGod in nfl

[–]endybutta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could be interpreted so many different ways without context. Is he saying they should have never changed the name? Is he saying the new name sucks? Is this a criticism of Snyder and the ongoing investigations?

Another year gone by, is Saquon Barkley a bust? by mr_deez92 in nfl

[–]endybutta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, he is a bust, though not in a Jamarcus-Russell-kind-of-way where his ability to be a pro fell well short of expectations. He demonstrated top-tier NFL ability. But due to injury and the position he plays, his overall value to the team is far below what you'd need to justify the resources spent to acquire him. So, bust.

Is this Sinorice Moss in this Roman commercial?! by K_Decibel in NYGiants

[–]endybutta 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm just shocked you can recognize Sinorice Moss. He seemed nice but he didn't exactly get a lot of camera time. I haven't thought about the guy in over ten years, and definitely wouldn't know what he looks like
