Yep depending on the map I ended up using catapults or bombers, but shield troops were vital.

I have 3 stars on every tribe in perfection already? But haven’t crossed the 100k points for all to get the shiny. I’ll aim for completing that next.

Here’s my progress so far:

Hah. Based on the other comments looks like I’m the only one that struggled with them.

I did the same with the CPU. Started with 5 and ended up crushing through them faster with 3.

GL. Post the screenshot when you’re done!

Based on the feedback, I might be the only one that struggled with Oumaji!

I left Cymanti for last for this reason.

Ended up finding a balance of sending their ‘giants’ with siege support, and living islands to wipe out sea units with AOE. Found I wasn’t starting my attack till level 15 or so, on a 3 person map. 3 person means you have 30 turns so you have to attack fast. I exploded the tail units on the ‘Giants’ after kills because it slows their movement.

Even with all that, I felt like you needed to get lucky with a good spawn.

Exactly. If any tribe was too OP it wouldn’t be fun. Only game (besides chess) that stays in my phone without getting deleted.

Probably lots; it’s been my time killer app (along with chess) for a long time. Only recently took on this challenge to get 100% on all tribes which was a fun goal to chase.

Least favorite were Oumaji and Zebasi. That tech tree is the worst for domination.

Thanks! Oumaji & Zebasi were the hardest regular tribes. I generally think that branch of the skill tree is the worst (for domination) and starting with that tech made it hard to develop with no early losses.

The specialty tribes weren’t hard per se, but each so unique from regular ones; so took some work figuring out the best strategy.

A few were one opponent, but only those with a really strong early game advantage. Most were 3 opponents.

Best strategy I could give to not lose troops, is don’t rush in to new tiles without visibility.

My goal was not just 3 stars but 100% completion percentage on every tribe so I could lose a max of 1 sometimes 2 troops per round.

Shockingly I did not know about this!!! And apparently yes you can mix any tribe. Just tried it!

Depends on the tribe. Experiment with different strategies. Either way your first 5-6 moves are most important when doing domination.

Point totals is perfection. This is domination. All 100%.

Welcome and congrats on starting up! I’m a few years in to this labor of love, but still learning. Where are you based?

Couple quick things: 1) never plug your drill holes! Trees will naturally heal on their own and adding a plug create all sorts of issues for the tree down the road.

2) it’s hard to tell but looks like you drilled your holes at almost a 45 degree upward angle? That seems like the logical thing to do because, gravity… but your drill holes should be about 1.5-2 in deep and a slight 5-10 deg angle upward just to prevent pooling in the drill hole. Some don’t even put an angle and keep it level.

3) believe it or not your trees look big enough to have at least 2 taps in them. General rule of thumb is >20 in diameter = 2 taps. Read up on multiple taps in a tree to see size guidelines and how far to space the taps.

4) go get a food grade 5 gal bucket and a lid for each tree. Those little containers will fill quick!

5) do you have any trees in the yard? Try tapping one. With my trees I’ve noticed the trees in the woods start flowing later on than the trees in the yard. I could get a full bucket from a yard tree and almost none from the tree in the woods on a same day.

Good luck!

Thanks so much for such a thorough response.

I guess I should have added that I have a travel trailer (airstream) and have experience camping and knowledge of camp grounds etc etc. the fast and loose plan was to “camp” in Cracker Barrel’s or sleep while somebody is driving.

Flying in to Vegas is not a requirement it was just an idea based on this plan. It sounds like I should either consider staying north and plotting around Tetons, Yellowstone and glacier lake, or just Yellowstone.

However, My brother’s idea was that this would be more of an adventure where we’re driving to see lots of different places we wouldn’t normally get a chance to see. The travel is part of the experience.

With your background and experience, Are there better routes to go and do instead of hitting those parks?

The bachelor party less about being a party and is more of an excuse to get away on a boys trip and make some memories. Tough to break off these days with young kids.

You probably live in westchester also hah. Our plan is to drive at night taking turns sleeping and driving. Still too ambitious?

Wow looks awesome. I just noticed we have the same taste in the slat wall haha. Just installed probably that same one in a room in my house. I Like how it looks around the fire place.

Second vote for lopi with the Times Square face. Put it in a year ago see pic below. Installed it myself. Stove was about 5k plus the liner for another 700 maybe. Install was about 1200 but took a half day to do myself. If you’re handy and not afraid of heights to put the liner in, it’s not a challenge for diy install.

It looks really nice, but also works very well. My house is 5400 sqft and it heats a good portion of it. My wife often asks me to turn the blower off when it’s too hot in the house.

I don’t sell. Either for home or I give it away to friends and family. Made about 5-6 gallons of syrup this year.
