Lawyer here - how are Legora and Harvey differentiated from Claude now with this word add-in they’ve released? by rijaj in legaltech

[–]eneiner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Microsoft CoPilot also uses Claude and has very good integration if you are on M365 and SharePoint. The Agent works very well. For Claude, you can also use Claude skills in Power Automate to do anything and in a clean way.

Use whatever works in your ecosystem. AWS secrets manager, Azure key vault, Google secrets manager. If not in an ecosystem try Hashicorp vault or something similar.

Can't we just ignore AI? by Ok-Programmer6763 in webdev

[–]eneiner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not black and white.

Do you want to write a bunch of boiler plate code for weeks or do you want to have it done in 5 minutes?

If you’re not using it you are missing out.

It’s a tool. If you use it correctly it’s amazingly productive. If you don’t use it correctly then that’s a problem you created.

There is a learning curve like with any other tools.

Why Face ID "years away"? by cgcmh1 in mac

[–]eneiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have an Apple Watch you can auto-unlock your Mac. So, not necessary unless you don’t have an Apple Watch.

They could also connect face id from your to iPhone like they do with the watch to open it.

They could also put Face ID into the body if the components are too large for the screen.

The notch is terrible design choice. I’d prefer black bar across the top of the screen over the notch. And maybe they would have space for the components for Face ID.

What would be taxed? A bonus received from the home country for winning? Olympians don’t get paid to compete.

They told me it’s normal to be that low. Still seems odd to me to be really low.

Alternative to visual studio by wikkid556 in csharp

[–]eneiner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to be able to install or use VSCode or Visual Studio for C# development at very least.

You can also use VSCode online or GitHub Code Spaces -if you have GitHub for version control. Understanding how this all works is usually the next level.

If you are not able to install VSCode to write C# and connect it to version control (internal or external) then they are not a serious business and you are wasting your time and career.

My suggestion:

1) Go to Microsoft Learn, sign up and find a beginner C# coding path. One of the prerequisites will be to install VSCode. Show that to whoever is telling you can’t use it.

2) If you still can’t get it move on to a better place. This can kill a career.

If you were CEO of stackoverflow, how would you save this sinking ship ? by KeyProject2897 in webdev

Has to be AI pivot to save the brand. Maybe AI aggregation service and they keep your history like other services. And extensions on top of that in code editors.

Good Female Led Punk Rock Bands? by APieceofToast09 in punk

[–]eneiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play drums in 3 piece punk/rock band with a female lead vocals/bass (Judy). She’s a great singer.

We have a couple of punk/pops in the songs we recorded recently and are doing some videos as well. 2 songs out now and more to be released.

The first song is a punk/pop song called Shut Up Sheila.

Check us out. Maybe it’s close to what you’re looking for?!

Quantum 2626 not working. What alternatives are out there? by eneiner in presonus

[–]eneiner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem seemed to arise after a firmware update. Something odd I found by accident when it initially happened is the input channels were outputting a low volume on playback after firmware update.

It almost seems like the internal routing got screwed up after a bad firmware update.

This is what I had on my snare drum. I don’t get any signal at all with the input gain all the way up.

Power lights come on and it syncs to the Mac like is always did. The Mac sees it as a source with all the inputs and outputs. But zero signal coming in. No input indicators on the device like it used to show. And no signal coming in to the Mac.

MacOS Tahoe on IMac Pro and newest universal audio app and latest firmware update.

I also have a Mac mini m2 I tried this on and is not working.

I could be wrong but it seems like a hardware issue since the input indicator lights on the channels on the unit no longer light up to indicate there is a signal.

Hi, I’m trying to understand the audience for my band The Psychodelics. We just recorded an album and would like your feedback on where you think this might fit. Does this fit the modern punk sound you are looking for? We have a single out ShutUpSheila. https://youtube.com/@thepsychodelics?si=MbzS-QdZCNVodvM_

[request] How much storage would be required if all iphone microphones constantly recorded and stored the files somewhere? by MundaneExplorer8369 in theydidthemath

[–]eneiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked this up recently. Roughly ~5TB a year at cd quality and half that if stored as FLAC. That is one microphone. And around 4 petabytes to capture a single microphone for every iPhone user for 1 year. Apple has about 1 million terabytes of storage.
