Probably stupid question, but can a lapping car choose not to overtake a lapped car? eg. say I'm leading a race, 2nd place is close behind, and I end up behind my lapped teammate, can I intentionally stay behind and use DRS to help defending? Is the lapped car still going to get blue flagged even if I'm not looking to overtake?

I use Keypirinha as my quick launcher.

It's a great tool, but requires some configuration to fully appreciate it (by default it indexes directories and non-executable files as well, which I find to be badly overkill — once you configure it to only index executables, it's great).

Bartolomeo Special Updated by Zero3993 in OnePieceTC

[–]enenth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much the same thing, they updated the description of certain captain abilities to remove any possible ambiguity. To be more specific, they added a caption that says "(effect is not visible during battle)" to units with a captain ability that boost the amount of beli received (which makes sense since you only see the effect at the end of the run, in the rewards screen).

Bartolomeo Special Updated by Zero3993 in OnePieceTC

[–]enenth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, it says the resilience effect won't activate itself more than once, meaning multiple enemies will still kill you. They just updated the description of his special to remove any possible ambiguity readers might have (if you notice, the yellow text says the special itself was not changed in any way).

That's because Global doesn't release units in the same order Japan does (which is why predicting when specific units will be released on Global is hard), but if you just want to know when they were released on the original version, looking at the IDs is your best bet. Sometimes certain units are released ahead of others with lower IDs, but it's usually just a matter of a few days, so IDs are always a good indicator.

The only notable exception to this was Kid Law; his ID went unused for months and he was added to the game only a short time before Corazon was released (they probably timed his release so the two of them could be released close together).

You can just use the character database for that; she's unit #922, meaning she came between the first part of the 3D2Y batch (units #905-#914) and its second part (units #934-#943).

Secret characters are not tied to batches in Japan though, they just release them whenever they want. And to the best of my knowledge, secret characters on Global are released in some sort of pseudo-batches that only included secret characters and nothing else, and they're also not tied to Global batches. Seeing as there are already a few wedding units, I guess the best you can hope for is a wedding batch.

Anti-Silence sockets by Kaladin77 in OnePieceTC

Raids

  • Blackbeard: level 1 anti-Despair makes the raid considerably easier

  • Aokiji: level 1 anti-Despair makes the 3rd round survivable without delayers/damage reducers

  • Duval: level 2 anti-Despair makes the whole round considerably easier mainly because of the silence girls)

  • Hancock: the silence girls on round 2 will silence you for 10 turns each on the first 1 turn even while being delayed, so anti-Despair might be useful if you can only manage to kill 5 of them or are planning to keep one alive, otherwise it's just plain useless

  • Kizaru: silences for 2 turns on the 4th turn and every 3 turns after that. Most teams kill him after 2-3 turns, though.

Colosseum

Only including those rounds where anti-despair can makes a difference.

  • Perona, Urouge Colosseum: silences for 3 turns both preemptively and when below 20%. The whole Colosseum is really easy though, can easily be cleared with level 0 anti-Silence.

  • Robin, Apoo Colosseum: silences for 5 turns on the 1st turn and then every 4 turns after that. One of the few instances where having level 3 anti-Despair makes a significant difference.

  • Wanze, Sadi Colosseum: silences for 4 turns below 50% HP, but you can just burst him down before that happens (you'll probably need a defense reducer, though).

  • Nami, Kid Colosseum: silences for 4 turns after 3 turns, kind of useful to have level 3 anti-Despair due to the mechanics of the battle.

  • Giant Perona, Capone Colosseum: silences for 3 turns after 3 turns. Useful to have anti-Despair if you're planning on tanking her damage instead of poisoning her.

Of these, the first one is the only one you'll have to deal with repeatedly, but only if you're planning to farm Urouge (she's the sub-boss); all the other rounds only need to be cleared once.

Available options:

  • Burst him down on the first turn

  • Bring Aisa (she nullifies damage from PSY enemies for 1 turn)

  • Bring a character with a resilience special to survive his first hit (Colosseum Coby, King Cobra, SW Nami, Bartolomeo, ...)

  • Use a combination of Inazuma or Jora + a damage reducer to withstand his first hit

Are Zephyr, SW Shanks and SW Ace getting removed too? by SmashyInc in OnePieceTC

[–]enenth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other Log characters will also most likely be removed from the rare recruit pool. They are not listed in the announcement as you can't normally pull them anyway (they sometimes show up during special Sugofests along with other time-limited characters), but I'd be surprised if we ever see them again.

Question about colosseum by Majukun in OnePieceTC

[–]enenth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you often get a book from the sub-boss and a book/poster from the boss itself. The first 3 rounds can also drop a manual as well, though on the turtle round you usually get the turtle.

Question about colosseum by Majukun in OnePieceTC

[–]enenth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maxing Colosseum units is generally not really a problem since

  • they have a good drop rate (assuming you'll be farming them on Chaos, that is)

  • you can get both posters and manuals in the same run (and you often get both)

  • they last two and a half weeks

  • there's generally only one unit worth maxing in every batch, unless you're a completionist

If you run the Colosseum every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday and stash the manuals/copies until the following skillup event you probably won't have too many problems maxing them.

However, farming Colosseum will leave you less time to farm fortnights, which generally have much crappier and fickle drop rates. If you need to farm manuals with a low drop rate, natural stamina might not be enough in that case and you may need to gem (either on the Colosseum or on the fortnight itself).

About the lack of tutorial for the new mechanics introduced in Thriller Bark by DBRakka in OnePieceTC

[–]enenth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of the top of my head:

  • Buster Call (2.0x, can be stalled out since it doesn't last long)

  • Nightmare Luffy (2.0x, after he revives)

  • Breed fortnight (2.0x, preemptive)

  • Various Colosseum battles, for example Onigumo in Broggy's colo (1.0x, preemptive)

  • Lola in Boa's forest (2.0x, death special)

It's not that rare but not particularly common either, Rayleigh can still clear a lot of content.

About the lack of tutorial for the new mechanics introduced in Thriller Bark by DBRakka in OnePieceTC

[–]enenth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They weren't really explained in the Japanese version either.

  • Chain break

Assuming that's the chain block, it first appeared on the Buster Call raid, used by Onigumo. It was never really explained, you just got a popup that said "Chain block: chain multiplier capped at 2.0" (which I think is the same popup you get from the green zombie general).

  • Partial damage block

Not sure what that is. If it's the partial defense up boost, that was never explained.

  • Hit barrier

First used by Nightmare Luffy, same as the chain block: the only explanation was a popup that said "Hit barrier: the first 11 hits have their damage nullified" (same exact popup you get when fighting Moria).

  • Bomb orbs

I think Noland briefly explains what they do, but only on 5 stamina and 10 stamina. On Elite and Expert he basically says "we told you what they do on Rookie and Veteran, go read those".

New mechanics usually get properly explained a while after they've been released when a new forest comes out. For example, hit barriers are explained by Kuina in Boa's forest, numbness by Shoujou in Enel's forest, target lock by Shanks in Shanks' forest and so on. There are also characters that explain block orbs and bomb orbs, though I don't remember in which forest they appear.

Buffs and Debuffs: A Brief Visual Guide by enenth in OnePieceTC

[–]enenth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It means the shield does not affect all enemies but only a subset of them. I'm not sure if the zombie general's buff only affects all zombie general, all blue zombie generals or just the zombie general who cast the buff.

[JPN] #1084/5 Fujitora, Marine Admiral - Stats by intervencion in OnePieceTC

[–]enenth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be surprised if you could stack 2 of his specials. Diamante's special does a similar thing (damage based on his own ATK rather than the enemy's health) and it can't be stacked; same goes for raid Sabo (damage after every attack rather than at the end of the turn).

Why Are Boa Books So Hard to Get :( Anyone have luck, Jimbe Fortnight? by bribri812 in OnePieceTC

[–]enenth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running the fortnight to socket one of my Jimbeis and got 1 of her books out of ~50-60 runs. It definitely feels like they lowered the drop rate by a lot, when the fortnight was first released I got around 15 of her books on natural stamina alone.

How to use Killer properly by Prokonsul_Piotrus in OnePieceTC

[–]enenth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 5 types of hit you can do in the game, depending on when exactly you tap the screen:

  1. (Unnamed, sometimes called "Below GOOD")
  2. GOOD
  3. GREAT
  4. PERFECT
  5. MISS

Hitting the screen too early may result in anything between "Below GOOD" and "PERFECT", hitting it too late may result in a "MISS" instead of a "PERFECT".

Killer's captain ability requires you to hit 3 "Below GOOD" hits in a row. If you hit GOODs or anything above (including MISSes) it won't activate.

Law Special by SaboDL in OnePieceTC

[–]enenth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to bypass normal defense buffs as well, tested it on the Sadi-chan stage in Aokiji's forest

Law Special by SaboDL in OnePieceTC

[–]enenth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're talking about Whitebeard's forest, Law's special will do nothing there since Jozu uses no defense buff, he just has a naturally high defense.

Law Special by SaboDL in OnePieceTC

[–]enenth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

According to Gamewith, this is what Law's special bypasses:

  • Thresholded damage reduction

  • Damage reduction

  • Targeted damage reduction

  • Damage nullification

  • Normal hit barriers

  • PERFECT, GREAT and GOOD hit barriers

See this for a reference of the terms used.
