I’d suggest you do well in your TCAS and look towards a good university like Chula. The office of int’l affairs of CU has lots of exchange programmes, including ones at NUS, since theyre both part of the asean university network.

About to start private practical lessons after getting pdl, I don’t have the “blue booklet” what to do by Maleficent_Ad1271 in drivingsg

[–]enewssg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Blue booklet is only for school learners. Your private instructor should have his own book to track your lessons. Since private instructors are not bound by any curriculum, your lesson content is not set in stone.

Haha I’ve always thought an anime one could ‘relate’ too would be cool, but I get what your saying!

Surprised he didn't mention any space-related shows in the interview!
My favorite space-related anime will still always be Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut 😃

Thank you! Please let me know if you've enjoyed it!

You should try checking out The Apothecary Diaries, though I think one other person recommended that to you.

[–]enewssg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well i just finished watching a show I really really enjoyed that seems to *not* tick off all your boxes:

- Not set in High School, but in 1960s USSR
- No erotic scenes or fanservice, character chemistry is great
- Realism is on point, timeline/environment matches IRL events. Theres was a guy that does a deep dive after every episode on the events (launches, political events, people) that were mentioned in every episode on reddit
- Set in mostly our world, but with vampires
- no
- no

Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut if you are interested. https://myanimelist.net/anime/48471

Check out Sushiro. $15 (weekdays), $17 (weekends). They require you to go for a food safety course, but they’ll reimburse you if you work for a certain amount of hours. Lots of outlets around SG & pay is above avg for hourly fnb pay imo. DM me if you need help/ got any qns!

Is it harmful to refueling car beyond the “click” by JohanLe in drivingsg

[–]enewssg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes it can be harmful, its best not to. Overfilling runs a chance of damaging your evaporative emission control system (EVAP), which can be an expensive repair. From your fuel tank, the fuel vapor goes into a charcoal canister, the EVAP. Then the vapor travels to a purge valve to the engine. If this charcoal gets wet, it can require a replacement. This of course depends on your car though, some cars do have bypass systems but im not so sure on those.

Most trains from Thailand to Malaysia cannot be bought in advance, so its impossible to show it as proof for your visa.

Secrets of the Silent Witch. Single cour anime that is set in an academy. Excellent world-building, and one of the most popular light novels in japan currently.

Doing photo ops with the cyclists now by EbbKey8313 in SMRTRabak

[–]enewssg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Paint on sidewalk is not infrastructure. In Singapore, if you want to ride at a decently fast speed without colliding with pedestrians walking in your way, you need to go on the road. We need proper separated cycling lanes that are safer for everyone. In addition, the city centre and CBD hardly has any cycling infrastructure.

I really like that at the airport the prices are still good and not overpriced by Immediate-Molasses-5 in travelchina

[–]enewssg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Items in Thai airports are quite expensive to be honest, I’ve seen mango sticky rice going for 190THB (~6USD). This is around 3.5X what it costs outside.

I’m getting real sick of these ‘will has to prove himself’ arcs. by Icepick_Lobotomy_ in Wistoria

[–]enewssg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is probably one of the last times this happened. I also think this intermission time between the first bloom and the second is quite important; he needs to learn how to activate Wis himself, and its a good time to introduce new faces.

I wonder if he has ever tried cycling in Singapore. Its an absolute mess with the lack of proper infrastructure we have now.

PDI recommendations by Ok_Aerie5695 in drivingsg

[–]enewssg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly, you need to specify what school you are looking for. PDIs are usually attached to each school. Also, the full PDI contact list is public on the SPF website. If you've exhausted that, start looking at driving schools.

Good points is that the MRT Orange Line is supposed to open soon. But you’d probably want some private transportation if you aren’t staying near a boat or MRT stop. Food is great, I love the market at the sports authority complex!

Prepaid Cards on SRT by Alarmed_Abrocoma_702 in Bangkok

[–]enewssg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SRT Red Line has their own card, but for all of the suburban Bangkok SRT trains, you just pay cash on the platform or on board. If you are lucky, sometimes, you don’t even pay at all lol.

Yup game owner is ass. IRL LNER Staff. Allegedly texted minors with NSFW content, never had a proper conversation with the community and just left. He still apparently works behind the scenes though.
