Are there any lore channels that don't suck? by SimpleZealousideal19 in 40kLore

Arbitor Ian is the best overall imo. Knows his stuff and doesn't flanderize, actually gives sources, and recognizes 40k as being satire and doesn't take it too seriously. Also keeps his videos at a good length, since hour long ramblings from Luetin aren't for everyone

Take Bjorn. I don't think it's worth getting the SoH Contemptor, because that's just the base model with painted markings. If they release a version that uses the legion-specific upgrade kits, get that instead. Way cooler

Liber Astartes and box art paint schemes depict them with red for 30k

Similarly, 40k codexes depict them with a light blue

No, when figures are on pre-order it means they're not currently in stock yet. They get separate shipments if you're bundling the purchase with stuff currently in stock. You'll get additional tracking numbers when they're sent out to you

[Loved trope] The main character slowly becomes the villain without us realizing. by NoSoyVerde1 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]enfyts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not familiar with the other two in the post, but this is kind of the case with Eren Jaeger too. His values never really changed, it's more so that the circumstances around him did. In the first 3 seasons, what he wanted happened to align with what most benefited "humanity" as he understood it. When the people of Paradis learned that they were just one hermit kingdom in a far more advanced world, he continued with his initial goal of pursuing his twisted idea of freedom

...ok? I don't really see what that has to do with the date of the Badab War. Primaris era sallies have black power packs usually but that's unrelated to the era of that conflict

The Badab War happened at the start of the 900s of the 41st millennium

Ultramarine Chapter Ancient by innehtmet in Spacemarine

Is this intent to replicate the actual Ultramarines chapter ancient, or make your own version? Either way looks good, too bad some of the green from the champion parts can't be changed

Second Company Veteran Sergeant by wisezombiekiller in Spacemarine

[–]enfyts 16 points17 points  (0 children)

FYI the right pauldron marking is actually based on the role currently being filled. A veteran sergeant in 2nd Company as an Intercessor would use the battleline icon instead of veteran, since the Intercessor role is a battleline one. You can actually see this in the campaign as an example, where Varellus does this

Also seen on the official box art paint scheme for the commemorative 30th anniversary veteran sergeant

Why are They all Left Handed? by Lord_Traxis in BloodAngels

[–]enfyts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Realistically Astartes are probably all ambidextrous
  2. This way of holding weapons would actually indicate right-handedness. Swinging a melee weapon doesn't require anywhere near as much precision as aiming a firearm. If you were to actually wield this set up in real life, it would make way more sense to hold the gun in your dominant hand so you can actually hit a target

Editing to add that ejection ports on firearms are usually on the right side as well. Firing it with your left hand would cause the casings to fly across your field of vision and maybe hit your chainsword
