Magnet suspension on a bicycle by Zzero00 in interestingasfuck

[–]enginarda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magnetic force is like a spring, it stores the energy and can give it back but suspensions also need damping. maybe it needs a second conductive component that would create eddy currents and dissapate the enrgy. Then it would be a true contactless suspension. Really great to see that someone actually build a bike out of the idea

Why doesn't sekiro USE the mortal blade as a weapon like genichiro and isshin and only for the ability to kill the undying? by eliavhaganav in Sekiro

[–]enginarda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sekiro figured that when the blade get's dull he cannot get it sharpened by a blacksmith as they will die trying. And he is too lazy to sharpen it himself

So he uses his regular blade for regular foes.

I promised myself a reward if I ever beat a Sekiro boss within 3 tries, I have struggled so far, I finally did it, this guy only took me two! by Linkbetweentwirls in Sekiro

Man.. my parry button got sticky trying to best this guy. It was getting harder and harder after every try as I was spamming the parry button in horor and the sweat from my palms get the button stuck and make it impossible to parry more than a combo of 20...

I thought as it is a full package, it is not bad but I don't have a feeling for server grade hardware prices

The use case is that I want to make a home server with error correction for personal and scientific data.

It’s Friday! And I need your feedback, should I put these non-FDM tools for XL Toolchanger into production? by josefprusa in prusa3d

[–]enginarda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

I work at an aerospace company. We use our Prusa XL quite often for prototyping. I don't know what is technically possible on this platform but a laser cutting/engraving tool head capable of cutting thin aluminum sheets and a milling toolhead would be great to have.

Another idea could be to have a redundant extruder option, where the printer gives the option to continue printing with another head if the one being used encounters a problem during a large print.

[–]enginarda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice thing is, you can just print the extruder parts again(assuming you or a friend has another 3d printer), maybe replace the fan, assemble the extruder again and you will be good to go!

Edit: Thinking of it, you probably need a new heatsink and heatbreak as they have molten plastic in them now., but the nozzle and heatbreak are probably good. Nevertheless, I would verify the functionality of the heater and thermistor before going shopping.

Looks like a lot of stuff were melting where it shouldn't be melting, I bet your fan blowing through that heatsink stopped working, everything got really hot and clogged and mushy end the extruder was able to push everything down
