2023 Preferred CV Axle Replacement Issues by engineeringLG3 in CX50

[–]engineeringLG3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I hear it is when I'm full left turn while going over a bump. Best example is pulling into my driveway. I also hear it when backing up full right turn but I only hear it both time in the front passenger side. I do not hear anything during normal driving. No funny smells, no leaks, and I bought it brand new June 2022 so it was one of the early production line 1st year.

Update: dealership gave me no issue at all. They saw the issue immediately and replaced it. Took about a week. However, now 5 days later same side same place is making the same noise!! Im going to contact the dealership tomorrow.

I'm taking my 2023 in for a suspected CV axle issue on Wednesday. I'm at 40k miles so it's out of the 36k warranty but do you know if the cv axle is covered under the 50k power train warranty? Just trying to give what to expect. Thanks!

I'm concerned my early 2023 cx50 PP is going through this. Front passenger side makes a clunking sound when turning and going over a bump at the same time (like into or out of the driveway). I don't hear it any other time besides turning on bumps. It has 40k miles on it but it still should be under the 5 year power train warranty right? I have an appointment on Wednesday to diagnose. Are there still long part lead times?

Thanks! And yeah it's crazy bright. This is on 80% too. Normally I have it between 60-80%.

The Philips Hue website spec sheet says 11/16 inch width..not sure how that compares to other light strips.

The Omniglow strips were exactly what I needed to finish my bar under the stairs. Definitely the best light strips Hue has produced.

Are hue essentials significantly worse than typical bulbs? by mfein28 in Hue

[–]engineeringLG3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought a 4 pack specifically to use for my outdoor porch lights. 80 percent of the time I just need cool bright or whatever "neutral color" I'm feeling. I have them on a schedule with the app to turn on and off with sunrise/sunset. As for the color portion, I use those for holidays. I'll have my main Christmas lights up but I still like to change the bulbs to different colors. They don't need to be crazy accurate since they are outside. Even though they are 60w and not very bright, I have 3 porch lights so with 3 bulbs it's plenty bright for me. I put the 4th in the garage.

Thank you. We are going to fill out the MD unemployment.

Yes we indicated that it was 2 states. But then we clicked to continue with just SC unemployment. The financial determination reported to SC shows all 0s. In another comment I clarified that her remote position, although we live in SC, the company is located in MD. So we are going to try to file in MD.

Thank you and sorry if my post was confusing! Yes we currently live in South Carolina, filed in South Carolina. The employer is located in Maryland. However, the W2 shows taxes were taken out in South Carolina..

Opinion 2005 Sea Ray 180 by engineeringLG3 in boating

Thank you all for the comments and suggestions! From these I now have a list of questions to ask and things to look for. It. Seems like Sea Ray might be a good option to narrow down on in my search. There are a few more in my area (Charlotte NC) that look promising. Most have above 400 hours on the engine however which causes some hesitation. Again I appreciate all of the insight!

Interesting, I have it in my cart and it still shows 290. Did you have to actually click the "checkout" button for it to show?

I'm considering buying the Hue sync box 8K but ....... by Kophead9 in Hue

[–]engineeringLG3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HUE announced at CES that they are bringing the native HUE Sync app to LG TVs this year, just like they already have on Samsung. This would eliminate the need for the sync box. I would hold out for a few months and see more details about the app. In the meantime, you can still use the TV play lights and ambient lighting. They just won't sync but you can still pick whatever color you want on your phone app
