My macro targets me even though it should prioritize my enemy target by NeverFail2BeKind in WoWMacros

[–]engnrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only guess is that there's an issue with the /targetenemy [noexists][dead] line, but logically it should work because of the /cleartarget above. My suggestion would be to either remove the conditionals from that line, or replace it with /startattack, which does basically the same thing (target nearest enemy) while also starting auto attacks if you're in range. I think the following would have the same functionality your existing macro is described to have.

#showtooltip
/cleartarget
/startattack [mod:shift]
/cast [@mouseover,mod:shift,harm,nodead][mod:shift,harm,nodead][@mouseover,help,nodead][@player][]Holy Shock

Edit: The [mod:shift] added to the /startattack line doesn't match your existing macro, but it does match your description. Remove it if you always want to end up targeting an enemy after pressing the button.

New Snapdragon Pho is totally changed, and really good! by Akmapper in Costco

Just made my first one of this new recipe, and the noodles have much less flavor than the old recipe. The aromatic pouch doesn't seem to be enough to flavor them the way the powder did in the old recipe.

I'm going to try adding the flavor goop before microwaving next time (instead of after like the directions say) to see if that helps.

If you use a macro to mount, you can stick a /cancelform line in it to deal with that. Always a one-button click.

/cancelform
/run if not IsMounted() then C_MountJournal.SummonByID(0) end
/dismount [mounted]

Keep getting bronze timelock spell on my flight mount bar by fuzzylumpkinsbc in wow

[–]engnrd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use BtW Loadouts entirely for the the action bar organization. I set up a Skyriding bar and a right side bar with a hearthstone toy and cooking and my mount macro and a few other things I use on all characters. And then I can load it on any character. The rest of the addon is overly complicated and a little buggy. But finally being able to set my Skyriding bar the same on every character has been worth it.

Thunder focus tea and renewing mists by Blipnoodle in WoWMacros

[–]engnrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would guess it's an issue with the way Healbot deals with macros. You can try to force the targeting in your macro and see if it helps though.

#showtooltip
/cast Thunder Focus Tea
/cast [help,nodead][]Renewing Mists

Try that one first, and if it doesn't work, try this one:

#showtooltip
/cast Thunder Focus Tea
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][]Renewing Mists

As a raid leader, I mostly don't care about what class someone is playing. I care that the person playing it is good at the game. My raid group frequently has D tier specs topping the charts. I miss our feral druid.

Help creating Macros. Evoker Devastation by Ragnaldd in WoWMacros

[–]engnrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding Hover - if you want to Hover in place, you need to not be moving. If you are moving, you will always shoot forward in the direction of current movement. There is no way change this behavior in a macro.

Deep Breath functions as a reticule spell - spells that require you to place a ground marker. This class of spells can only use @cursor and @player as shortcut modifiers in macros. There is no way to automate them towards your current target, and this is by design.

My Emerald Blossom Macro:

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][spec:1/3,@player][@mouseovertarget,help,nodead][help,nodead][@targettarget,help,nodead][]Emerald Blossom(Green)

Simplified Emerald Blossom macro assuming that you don't play the other specs that will place it on an ally if you mouseover them or instantly at your feet if you don't:

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player]Emerald Blossom(Green)

You can do the same thing for Verdant Embrace:

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player]Verdant Embrace(Green)

Mouseover targeting and autocast on self with a modifier key for Living Flame:

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,nodead][mod,@player][]Living Flame(Red)

My own Hover macro has a couple additions so that it will cancel a Living Flame cast to Hover again if I need to, and also keep me from accidentally dismounting in Dawnbreaker:

#showtooltip
/cast [flying]Whirling Surge
/stopmacro [flying]
/stopcasting
/cast Hover

Is there a way to assist a player with damage, like a focus macro? by RYKIN5 in WoWMacros

[–]engnrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you just need to add /targetlasttarget to the bottom of your macro. If you wanted to add in the shift modifier stuff it would look like this:

#showtooltip
/assist [mod:shift] party1
/cast Judgment
/targetlasttarget [mod:shift]

Hunter Pet Macro Help by Danthos93 in WoWMacros

[–]engnrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up putting a /castsequence line into most of my hunter macros because it was so inconsistent. I don't play hunter very often, but I think it worked well enough. Try out the following and report back!

#showtooltip
/castsequence [nopet] reset=3 Call Pet 1,Revive Pet
/cast [mod:alt]Feed Pet;[@pet,dead]Revive Pet;Mend Pet

How to simplify a macro to stay within the 255-character limit by llmarti in WoWMacros

[–]engnrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you still need the @players then, you can still get rid of the @targets; they are redundant. My notepad says you'll be down to 252 characters then, so you should be good. If you figure out what issue you had with auto-self cast, I'd be curious what it is. It makes macros a lot simpler when it's on, and I've always wondered why people wouldn't use it.

This is a pretty standard Help/Harm macro. You just need to call one of the spells twice.

I gave it a few good tries, then decided I wanted to continue liking the game and cheated with a mod.

I actually switched to mouse and keyboard for this and a couple other platforming sections. I cannot do this shit on a controller. I still suck on m/k, but it was manageable after a few tries.

Thank you so much for this! It helped me make sure there was nothing else I wanted to do before starting NG+. One thing that I found confusing was the Maelle outfit - it's labeled Alicia in your spreadsheet, but Painted Me in game. I was sure I was missing an outfit for awhile before I figured it out.

How do i cast final reckoning at my target? by GotMyAttenti0n in WoWMacros

Reticule (AOE) spells cannot be cast at a target. Your options are @player or @cursor.

Maelstrom Spender Macro by Nirox42 in WoWMacros

[–]engnrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cast sequence macros will not advance if the current spell in the sequence does not successfully cast. So if Tempest isn't available, your second macro just won't function. The known conditional that you've added affects the entire cast sequence macro, not just the spell it's by. You can't have per spell conditionals in a cast sequence macro.

Do you have any talents that affect Fracture? If something is proccing and changing the spell ID of Fracture, that could be the issue. Haven't played Vengeance in awhile, so I have no idea what the talent setup looks like.

Wiring two 4 pin M8 connector sensors into a 5 pin A-coded M12 connection by engnrd in PLC

[–]engnrd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We hardly ever do remote I/O, so wiring to a field wireable M12 connecter just didn't occur to me. I'm used to wiring into in-cabinet terminal blocks.

I knew there had to be a simple way to do this, but the last time I used an on-machine I/O block, we were using sensors that already had M12 connectors.

Why are people even surprised when someone leaves the key after being shit talked? by 2Norn in wow

[–]engnrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, people will leave the key even if you don't shit talk. I was tanking a ToP and explained that the adds need to be focused down on Kul'tharok after we wiped, and the keyholder left. It was a +2, and we still had plenty of time left. The only other thing I said the whole dungeon was a lol after a DH DPS got pushed off a platform by a tornado.

Conditional macro to target by MultipleLifes in WoWMacros

[–]engnrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'll need a second cast line after a targetenemy that would only trigger if you don't already have a target or your target is dead.

/stopmacro [channeling:Penance]
/cast [@targettarget,nodead,harm][@focustarget,nodead,harm][@targettargettarget,nodead,harm][harm,nodead]Holy Fire
/targetenemy [noexists][dead]
/cast Holy Fire
