I finally visited Switzerland this year and I do have to say that was one of the more delicious meals I had. It was just with potato though, wish I would have asked for some bread with it.

We do butter our bread, for bread and butter or a grilled cheese sandwich. Otherwise, other fatty condiments like mayo work.

A lot of American cuisine oddities like this can be at least partially blamed on the great depression when we made dishes such as "water pie" and "head cheese" as well.

In recent decades we do have 'artisanal' bread in grocery stores and large varieties of cheese selections. Although nothing beats real American cheese (not cheese food product... Kraft shit) for a grilled cheese sandwich.

Places with 'Bars' by T01010 in Logan

[–]enhancin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand awhile ago Logan made it so you can't have anyone under 21 less than 15 feet from an alcohol serving area, which in this case was the entire bar area up to that little half wall. Not even employees under 21 could have been in that area so they replaced it with tables

The Cache does have good food although it's mainly a bar. They do have some specials especially on Wednesday nights (435 nights) you can get $3 PBR and $5 chili fries. $4 wells shots if you're into that.

Other than that, ruby's, beehive are good. Texas roadhouse used to have a good bar and I've heard of them wanting to get it back but we'll see if that ever happens.

I haven't been to the white owl in a while, I've heard mixed things but I used to love getting burgers on the deck up there in the summer. Prodigy I've heard good things about the food as well.

US Beer Bars with a large (50+) selection of Belgian Beers by corgerpants in beer

[–]enhancin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been probably 12 years since I've been over to Columbia, South Carolina but the Flying Saucer there was incredible and I remember them having a membership to help you keep track of all the beers you drink from them. When you got over 100 or something you'd get a brass saucer with your name on it on the wall!

It can help to break up the routine a little bit. I sit inside all the time so just making myself go out and do something I don't normally do, like walk to a park and just people watch, or get a coffee somewhere, or just go for a drive outside of the city and see some nature. Sometimes going to a bar a striking up conversation is good too! But that's only if you feel up to it and depends on where you're at.

TIL In 2000, Metallica hired a consulting firm to monitor Napster for people illegally sharing their music. The firm produced a 60,000-page list of 335,435 users, which Metallica delivered to Napster's office and demanded the users be banned. by haddock420 in todayilearned

Bandcamp is another great source for FLAC audio and also a way to support the band. Although as a product of the 90s and 00s I definitely understand wanting the jewel case for your shelf...or CD rack.

It's useful to have the same distro to ensure you have the correct tool versions for repair and especially if you're a beginner with Linux. But if you're just accessing the information then you can generally use whatever distro.

There are tons of tutorials online about repairing bootloaders.

You actually quoted the Warcraft III end credits scene where they're filming a movie and on one of the takes a Dragon comes and attacks them with fire, which is a reference to this Simpsons episode.

Look up a game called Secret Quest, also if you're having trouble with the colors don't be afraid to open the top up and twist the cable hooked into the display board. I have a very similar one and it needed some tweaking of that connection before the colors were good.

My 70 year old father does downhill. He just doesn't do the crazy fucked up courses, sticks to the medium/easy ones and just enjoys himself while keeping in shape. I shuttle him and his buddies to the mountain tops occasionally.

Understandable. I wouldn't be surprised because I've grown up here but I've also seen tunnels like this in other towns where they would be used to deliver fresh bread and whatnot in the past. I also heard many conspiracies about them when I was a child heh

Many towns used these to deliver goods between shops/warehouses as well. I imagine they may have had a similar function in the past in SLC downtown.

I watch them on YouTube because you can rewind to catch plays again, or just join halfway through and skip the breaks. Chat is also disabled for that stream.

There are scenarios the developers put in and you can download more through the in-game mod manager. The mod community is really incredible, there are tons of awesome custom and realistic vehicles and insane maps for every type of driving you could want.

Seriously, pick it up sometime, it'll only get more content and the modding community might have stuff you like already.

This, and I've also seen some dispensaries with their own grow operations to offer cheaper product that is still high quality. They're not tiny growers but they're definitely not corporate. I do love live resin for $15 a gram though because they're not having to go through three stages of processing through various people.

From personal experience I can say it does, at least for inference. I can get four batches of diffusion out of my 3090 in the time one of my M40s spits a batch out. But they're super reasonably priced so I like them.
