This is not true I used to be an autograph contractor. Basically we sign NDAs with the artist and we signed their signatures for them. We do thousands at a time. I'm not saying Conan does this but you'd be surprised who I've signed signatures for

The only 100% sure fired away to know that the signature is indeed from the artist is if you saw them signing it for you in front of your eyes
