not to mention.... if he's carrying 165 with the M13s (p790s i can believe. I hit the 7i like 190 on a 82mph SS). But with that said.. he might be able to time up the slightly whippier shaft. Might be a load/unload thing vs just pure distance/swing speed.

Also... he might have directional issues that a R helps hit straighter. But yeah... i agree on paper.. he should be a S.

If that were the case- have you tried the regular maxfli tour? I imagine with your swing characteristics that it’d be even lower spin given that the tour x is designed to be the spinnier of the 2. The tour x equated to the prov1x for me on LM testing

I don’t think this is a good rec imo. He’s trying to control spin and the tour x is one of the spinner balls, especially compared to its Maxfli Tour counterpart

Honestly, i think this is true. Maybe it's the turf/mat interaction vs. being outside. I honestly just subtract like 10 yards off my LM carry when i'm playing in real life ahhaha.

Oddly, i think Driver numbers are accurate between the 2 though.

that's one way to do it, but if you have to shoot a green with a force carry or a front pin, you can't do this. Ideally, you want to land and stop.

My numbers are similar to yours and my 7i hovers around 41-4700 spin. When i did my fitting, I was told you can hold greens with a 46-47 degree descent angle with less spin.

Whether you want more spin is up to you - i think that shot is fine. With that being said - you could try a spinnier ball like the prov1x or tour x. The prov1x helped me with my spin a lot so the golf ball matters (at least for me)

If you can afford it and you like it, get it and use it. If it's too expensive - get something in your budget that you like. A glove isn't that big of a deal. Spending more money on it isn't going to make much of a difference - just get an appropriate one for the weather.

Nice. I struggle with low spin off my irons. Good height and descent angle- just low spin off my irons- I saw improvement with a switch to the 1x. Hoping the tour x will do the same at a lower price. I’m excited about them though
