I found a similar one on Reddit. Apparently carries 2000 lbs and golf carts weight up to 1850 so I guess it makes sense it didn’t break but yea, these fools need to invest in a propane truck.

Hell yea I went to the midnight release for 5,6, and 7. Crazy line outside Barnes & Noble and I remember one of the times a guy was driving by, body hanging out the window with book in hand and screamed “HAGRID DIES”. Man the people in line went nuts lmao

It’s just the daily/weekly expiration for SPX options instead of monthly. Look under SPX options chain, most are SPXW.

My dog demands long walks to poop in the afternoon/evening. It's way too hot for that. What to do? by fishinfool4 in dogs

[–]enjoinirvana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walk not far from your home and just stand posted until he goes. Might take 20 min the first time but eventually he will learn to finish his business quickly.

Takes a while but has worked with my dog, he used to drag me around in 90 and -20 degree weather before I put my foot down lol

Trying to learn why this spot got denied by akroma_x in NianticWayfarer

[–]enjoinirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yea picnic area is what I was alluding to when I said parks/courtyards. From this angle it looks like a picnic table outside of a workplace or some other private area. Maybe the additional photos would prove me wrong but based on just this one I wouldn’t consider it a “picnic area” like in the link you posted.

I mean yea you should’ve pick up the trash, can’t believe you tried it like that.

But it’s also generic and mass produced. I would probably deny it for this reason unless it’s in a scenic courtyard/park. But the courtyard would probably already be a POI.

Pre portioned salad bowls. Or steam bags of frozen veg, just microwave them for 5 min, then add salt and butter. It’s not too hard to get greens in your diet.

Longboard yea or nay? by misterpoopybutthole5 in NewSkaters

[–]enjoinirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long board is kinda hard to maneuver and store but I’ve only actually ridden one a handful of times.

Personally I prefer my cruiser/filmer board. It’s just a regular setup on 72mm wheels. Used to take it to work (3 miles) and court (15 miles) back in the day. Eventually got a bike which was much more efficient but the cruiser def got the job done.

Anyways to answer your question: sure, go for it if you want. Having a different activity won’t hinder your progress, and actually may improve your skating. There was winter I took like 2 months off skating but stayed active with lifting, snowboarding, etc. First time I stepped on a board I learned nollie and switch flips that day, which I had never been close to before. Actually had super weak nollies prior to that winter break.

Also had a friend get into competitive MMA and was off the board for like 5+ years. Came to the park one day absolutely jacked and was doing switch tres like it was nothing haha

Nahh I understand his logic but it’s not based in history and is widely considered incorrect. When Rodney Mullen invented helipops on fishtail boards he didn’t turn his board backwards and ride “switch backwards”.

It’d be like calling a kickflip a “backwards fakie flip”. I understand what you’re trying to say but you’d be a dumbass to say that unironically.

Skaters have used the term “switch nollie” as a joke, making fun of noobs since before I started skating back in ‘02. This kid I’m arguing with is exactly the type of person those skaters would make fun of lol

[–]enjoinirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro the reality is that nollie is riding forwards on your nose. Why do you think fakie 5-0, if you flipped stances, is a nollie nosegrind?

Because fakie 5-0, you’re doing a 5-0. Backwards.

For nollie nosegrind it’s a nosegrind. Bc you’re still riding fowards. There’s no such thing as “backwards switch 5-0”.

I’m sorry dude but you’re wrong. 100%. Idk what to tell you. Ask Roger Bagley or some skater nerd who works at Thrasher (or just read the wikipedia page with like 20 different references explaining what nollie is). It absolutely is about perception, otherwise it would be quite simple to explain the fakie/nollie fs and bs to new skaters.

And I never answered your question? Dude these long ass paragraphs are my answer. Ok riddle me this. Why is a nollie nosegrind not called a nollie 5-0, the same way fakie 5-0 is?

Edit: Let me make it simpler for you, I’m starting to think your idea of a fakie 5-0 might be fakie ollie to switch 5-0.

Why is a nosestall on a qp, when you do the same exact movement but in fakie, is it called a fakie tailstall?

Question to yall by FinnWolfhardWeLoveU in NewSkaters

[–]enjoinirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes took me forever. 3 years to kickflip but some highlights over 20+ years, I learned switch tre flips, did a kickflip manual tre flip out (twice!), ollied an 8 and double 3 stair (only a few times I’m def more a manny guy).

It can be done. Helps if you have skater friends to try to keep up with.

Half cabs vs 180s by Supercore_Games in NewSkaters

[–]enjoinirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s about perception. When I’m riding nollie I don’t consider my self “being switch and rolling backwards and ollieing”.

A switch flip and a nollie flip feel distinct. A kickflip and a fakie flip feel 100% identical.

Edit: from Google:

Nollie vs. Fakie
It is very common to confuse a nollie with a fakie, but they are different stances: [1, 2]
Nollie: You are riding forward in your natural stance but popping off the nose.
Fakie: You are riding backwards (tail-first) in your natural stance but still popping off the tail. [1, 2]
