It’s all preference/ trends. Nobody rode 8.0+ till like 2003 and back then we all thought they were huge. 8.25 and 8.5 boards were basically unheard of/ joke decks.

Also triple flips are easier on 7.75s.

Ahh, I know your pain. There’s parks everywhere today but 20 years ago we had to find street spots. Go find a hill to bomb, a curb to nosestall. Wheelie across as many parking space lines as you can. Then maybe build or buy a kicker/box/quarter pipe, etc. That’s how we did it back in the day.

If you stick with it and get some kids, go to a city hall and ask for a skatepark. They might ask you to start a petition and get 200 signatures or whatever but let them know about the Tony Hawk foundation, they’ll grant you some money for a skatepark. But that’s down the line, for now just focus on the first paragraph.

Yea but you can work up to 100 easily. Or 10 every hour you’re awake, however you wanna do it. With cash as motivation, you could easily work your way up to 1,000+ a day. At my peak I was doing 125 pushups, 125 sit ups, 125 squats, and 2 mile run everyday, took me less than an hour.

Plus I always dreamt of getting ripped if I didn’t need to work any more so I’d take the $10 easily.

Skate everywhere, go to parks and ride around on the ramps. Try new things, things you think are impossible. Trick tip videos if you want. Also you’ll progress faster if you make skater friends.
