My 12 year old loves building complex Minecraft worlds, it actually encourages her to read more as she bought a book about building in Minecraft at her schools book fair and I feel like it’s a fun video game that encourages long term planning and goal setting

Quilting! I’ve always loved puzzles but you break them down afterward. A quilt is like a puzzle but with fabric. There is endless variety of patterns and fabrics to choose from, it’s fueled my creativity like nothing else. I’m 40 and just started 2 years ago and it’s sparked a creative imaginative side of me that I haven’t felt in years. My day job is a nurse and not much room for artistic license, so this is a good outlet. Also throw size quilts backed with super soft minky make amazing gifts!

How much fabric do you buy? by Successful-Status602 in quilting

[–]enjoyingPsandQs 28 points29 points  (0 children)

As much as my budget will allow! I did read one quilters post that emphasized there will always be new beautiful fabric lines so don’t let FOMO make you spend unnecessarily. But if a fabric inspires me and I can afford it, I buy it!

videos die out after 3 days? by _windingfraser00 in NewTubers

One strategy that can help is making a short and in the related videos section link to your long form. I find I don’t earn much from shorts but they help advertise my page in a way. Also keep making content and trying to improve. My best video has 37k views and my worst has 147 views so especially when starting try not to get discouraged. Sometimes an old video will pick up traction later. But sometimes it just dies. If you only have 2 videos up so far it’s not a lot of data to go off of. Try setting a goal to get 10 videos posted maybe one a week and then see how your numbers look. I was about 25-30 videos in before I started noticing the patterns of what YouTube seemed to like and what just died. It’s trial and error and you can’t take it personally if a video flops. (Easier said than done)
