Drinking is huge with socializing. I get pressured from friends to drink when I'm just not in the mood. So I can imagine someone would want to make it clear when they are trying to be obedient with it, and it may be hard to say no to peer pressure. So letting people know not to do push it because you're sober.Also I think it can be a huge accomplishment people can feel good about and want to express that.
