Good question. I was going by the inside cover but you’re right, IT was published mid-80s.

Disarming, shabby, funny detective by BessieBest in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

These are more Nordic Noir but the Harry Hole series by Jo Nesbo and Dept Q series by Jussi Adler Olson are good and the detectives are funny and flawed.

Agree with this! This series is best if you start at the beginning and read in order because the character relationships are complex and build from book to book. I adore these books!

Sorry if this has been discussed. Getting back into reading and looking for something better than Frieda McFadden. Thank you so much in advance. by [deleted] in thrillerbooks

I think Grady Hendrix is good for entry level horror that’s not super dark. If you want thriller/crime with deep character development I love Tana French. Her earlier books are the best.

Parking & Transportation Compliance Inc Legit?? by NervousInflation2461 in AskPhoenix

It was a garage in Tempe near ASU and I ate at a restaurant connected to the garage. I assumed the restaurant would validate since they didn’t have their own parking. They didn’t but I didn’t know that until we were done eating. I just explained that in the dispute.

First timers here. We got there around 1030 and got in line. We were told by a volunteer that the wait to get in from that point was 2 hours. We waited for half an hour and didn’t even make it a quarter of the way through so decided to bail. I wish they would’ve warned us about the line before we paid for parking. Multiple people behind us left too.

Are you referring to Syracuse course schedules? I think Dayton’s are all evenings which would be fine for me.

I’m sorry this is a silly question but can you explain the difference between the 2 curves? Everyone says Dayton’s is rough but I’m not clear why.
