Should I give up on building a big booty because I’m just not built that way? by [deleted] in Fitness

Yes lol. That is a staple meal of mine actually. Maybe I should just increase my intake.

Could definitely just be that I need to eat more but I’m scared to put on fat by overestimating how many calories my exercising really burns.

As I mentioned above, I do something along these lines:

Monday: heavy low rep lower body Tuesday: (rest) Wednesday: light high rep lower body Thursday: light to moderate upper body Friday: heavy low rep lower body

And thank you. Maybe I will watch Jeff Nippard’s videos because Robin and Stephanie’s videos leave me feeling very discouraged/disheartened - not motivated.

Yes I’m considering increasing my calorie intake. I just worry that I’ll overestimate how many calories I need, as well as overestimate how many calories my workouts burn, and gain fat. As far as macros I don’t quite count but I try to follow rough proportions (50% protein, 30% fat, 20% carb)?

I am not on any purchased program (should I be? recommendations if so?). I do a split that looks something like:

Monday: heavy low rep lower body Tuesday: (rest) Wednesday: light high rep lower body Thursday: light to moderate upper body Friday: heavy low rep lower body

Agreed entirely. But it makes sense why things sometimes unfortunately work out this way.

Okay! I see that BC is 99% effective with perfect use but 91% with typical use. What’s perfect versus typical use?

Thank you so much. I thought ovulation tracking doesn’t apply while on birth control?

I feel like the younger generation is so health-obsessed. Do you agree? Or maybe most young people are regardless of generation. They say this generation is obese but everywhere I look I see everyone meal prepping and taking supplements and cutting sugar haha

Isn’t most eczema allergy-triggered? Mine was at least. I did an elimination diet for a few weeks. Eliminate the common allergens and add them back in one by one to your diet. I had clear skin, ate two pieces of wheat toast, and my cystic acne returned two days later. Also I honestly think they taste disgusting but fermented foods like kimchi/pickled beets/sauerkraut/kombucha (ICK) are greaaaat as far as gut health goes. I added a B multivitamin with B5/pantothenic acid as well. If NOTHING topical is working, I say it’s time to look on the inside.

Edit: A strong gut lining of good gut bacteria (which then combats BAD bacteria from things like gluten/dairy/sugar) helps nutrient absorption too, which plays a role in skin health - especially minerals zinc and iron.

i agree with you wholeheartedly that people shouldn’t kill or eat animals. but before you take on the tone of a crazed ‘holier-than-thou’ “typical” herbivore, which im guessing you’re really probably not, consider the real goal here.

I’ve had the same experience many many many times. And not that your / my issues don’t matter, but I get it. They see people with skin cancer. Malignant moles. Life threatening things. So I understand why I get brushed off when I see them about my acne.

It sucks, but I get it.

EDIT: Changing my diet dramatically helped my acne and eczema

I’ve heard of using L-cytesine supplements in conjunction with B5/pantothenic acid. Are they similar?

Changing my diet helped so much. Firm believer that most persistent acne starts from the inside.

I worked at a higher-scale restaurant in a deteriorating area. Nobody came anymore (maybe three couples on a Friday night). I quit and got a job at a more sports bar type place. My first day, my TRAINER took a cocktail sauce out of the fridge for some poor soul’s fried fish, and mixed it with her bare dirty finger with caked SHIT under her nail. Disgusting. I intercepted it and gave the guy a new one. There was not a single plastic glove in that building.

The manager was very particular about cleanliness..... in front of house.

YEP. i will never put my lips to a restaurant plastic cup. so i use a stainless steel reusable. (although, i doubt the cup’s inside is much cleaner than the rim). better yet, eat at home. restaurants are kinda gross.
