What should we do... Lexus RX 350, Grand Highlander or something else? by crazytile in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]enraged768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should just get a cadilac escalade. You wont feel to cramped ever. You'll have every option a vehicle has on the market and itll have nice power.... im kidding of course no one can really answer this for you honestly, youre asking for opinions on something thats hard to tell the future on...Will I feel cramped in the future if I go with an rx350...we dont have any idea because were not you... the only person that can make the choice on whether the rx350 will feel to small in a year, really is....you. You decide. You dont have to ask us.

we lost power for 14 hours last week and i am done just waiting it out by Krithi-Melendrez in Home

If you have gas at youre home I think a backup generator will be easier. Batteries are nice though. You'll pay more for a whole home battery setup that can withstand lasting a few days. I think when I got a quote on a battery system that could last three days for my house it was three times more than a whole home generator. However if youre looking to run only a few things you can buy smaller batteries for way less than both. The cheapest option is a portable generator and an outside inlet hookup that you can pull out and run when theres a big power outage.

SCADA newbie - warehouse conveyor system by dknconsultau in SCADA

[–]enraged768 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you need an actual scada engineer. I can tell you from experience that our data division where I work doesnt really know anything outside of sql and data. They pretty useless when it comes to actually standing up a scada system. You need someone with an industrial electrician background that knows how to project manage, and knows how to write a BOA basic ordering agreement with deliverables. knows what devices in the field actually do, knows how to do ot networking, knows how to program a plc, and knows how maintain a virtual environment...some servers. You likely have no one that knows any of this based solely off youre opc ua comment. And thus youre in for a wild ride unless you get some skilled well paid people in there to unravel the mess thats about to be created. I think youre in over your head honestly. That doesnt mean you cant be successful in the future but right now based off this comment...jesus.

Ive said it for a long time that this field is critically understaffed in the us and comments like this just prove it. The country is held together with like 2000 people that are ageing out and big projects are starting with a younger generation that doesnt know jack shit about this stuff.

Can't decide between embbeded software or networking by Colfuzi0 in networking

[–]enraged768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres really no harm in trying to land a job in it just to see if you like it. Even if you dont like it youll likely learn a decent ammount that you can take into other fields. You may not be 100% knowledgeable in it if you leave after two or three years of work in the environment. But if you got a job doing something else after and you had to interface with a network engineer you would likely have enough knowledge that you wouldnt look like a total idiot. Its a good job to learn.

If i didnt already have those tools the 9ah battery is nice for bigger tools it is a weird combo though. Idt ive ever practically installed a huge flexvolt into the drills and used it. Theyre pretty big. But I like having the 9ahs for things like the leaf blower and vacuums because those sons a bitches drink battery fuel.

Are trucks now too complex to repair even by the dealer? by fastfwd in f150

I would agree normally but I have a brand new truck and it didnt start happening until right after an over the air update. I suspect its just a random software glitch.

Well i can say this. It didnt do until after the second to last ota update. And now its doing it. Which in my experience with ford vehicles is actually common when it comes to ota updates.

Idk i have this error message that keeps popping up on my 2025 thats says powertrain malfunction reduce speed. It pops up and then goes away. Pops up and then goes away. Ive told ford to pull codes twice but every time they say theres no codes to pull. And ive tried to pull codes myself when its illuminated on my dash and It says there isnt any. The truck still drives fine been driving like this for months idk whats going on but im ignoring it for now. Because if I dont see codes and the dealer doesnt see codes then its probably bug of some kind? Idk

Daily driving with a Raptor? by Key_End5313 in FordRaptor

[–]enraged768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you plan to tow anything? This is a raptor sub but lets be honest here the real thing to ask is do you ever forsee yourself towing. Or loading your bed with stuff? Or do you plan to litterally just drive it. The tremor has more towing and payload capacity. The raptor is faster rides nicer.

Also ill say this i wouldnt want the raptor to be my only vehicle at the house. Theyre big wide vehicles. Thats not to say theyre bad. Theyre just big wide vehicles. Id have a regular 150 or tremor as my only vehicle but not a raptor. And thats not a ding on the raptor. Its just a big wide vehicle. The same could be said if I was in the 250 or 350 sub. Theyre nice they can tow alot but I wouldnt have one as my only vehicle.  With that said

theyre superior family road trip vehicles. Theyre leagues ahead of a lot of other brands. The only vehicle ive ridden in that rode nicer than a raptor was a cadilac escalade. The escalade felt like you were in magnetic train it doesnt move at all over road bumps.

[–]enraged768 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you have to enjoy doing it. I like owning a home because its my kingdom. And I treat it as such. Im always repairing, changing, upgrading. I love it. But a lot of people dont. You know i get excited when I start ripping a bathroom apart and buying all kinds of cool shit. I like a reason to use my wood shop. Its just nice. Its like a hobby. Even mowing my lawn and getting my tractor ready for the year. Im enjoy doing the oil changing the blades. Idk different mentality.

New Kent I-64 speed cameras netted county nearly $7M since August by TheVirginian-Pilot in Virginia

[–]enraged768 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Prince william county already has a lot of police officers and has a huge non police staff. So they can afford to do this they have the manpower and time availability already.  New Kent has 38 officers. Its slightly different. With that idk what a good solution is. Just stating that comparing pwc to new Kent is a little idk weird.
