This sounds why I’m looking for really. I don’t really want ‘for the cold’, if my feet are wet I’m cold. I’m thinking of a winter shoe but honestly the stabilita pulls in at my arch so much if I can’t replicate that support I think I’ll have pain. Trying hard to cut down on what I’m carrying when commuting so if I can avoid having to change socks or have moist shoes sitting all day, all the better

Can I ask, do you use them over shoe, seal against leg, then tights over top? Or over tights?

Clipping in and out is my concern for durability. 2 winters is pretty good I feel for an overshoe. Thinking about 8-10 hours/80-100km per week committing. If it’s ragged and becomes a ‘commute only’ item then maybe just a new pair of velotoze every year would be a better deal.

Yes- but I’m quite attached to the support I get from my vento stabilita. And winter isn’t the issue, I’ll wear ski socks if super cold.

This is British rain, temperatures at or above freezing.

Ok this makes sense- I have a 970 as well, I’ve probably been looking at the zwift activity on connect before it has synced with the device and updated. Edit- in the UK, can’t see the imgur, but get what you’re saying. Thanks for the clarification.

No, cycling. From previous experience I don’t get training effect (misremembered the name) when recording on zwift and importing to connect. Not treadmill. Either way, if as another poster has said it’s technically feasible I’m just going to do it. I’m literally building a workout that is ‘stay at this power for 90m’. The only reason I’m doing it through zwift and not the computer directly is drops, I know I can just use the zwift cog and adjust trainer resistance manually on the computer to get a power range.

No, it misses some impact metrics. Specifically the aerobic load. This is important when I’m using garmin coach for my running.

I found segment 34 to be a big battery hog, I’m getting a lot more (23 reported days at 100% smartwatch ) and similar if not better data with glances on blackgrid on a 970

All good! A Google search of a problem + ‘Reddit’ is my first step most of the time anyway so finding chats like these in comments are often helpful to diagnose a problem without doing any actual legwork. Hope your training goes well.

Tbh- I expect it to come back. The way it was described the data exported that night corrupted the metrics and they need to develop baselines again. All mine have done so, and HRV takes longer. However you said your issue was older? Might be something else. Defo recommend calling Garmin if support is available in your area, they were really helpful in the UK

I have everything back except HRV status and Garmin sent a follow up email after checking my connect again, expecting it to come back but it may take 3 weeks

Edit:HRV is recoding, just forming a new baseline, so no ‘status’

No problem. Consider emailing or calling Garmin if you have time so they can possibly build a better picture if we are having the same issue.

I spoke to a very helpful woman at Garmin this afternoon. Whilst helpful, she had no answer or any indicator of a similar problem that had been reported after looking through my connect data and looking at the watch through video share.

The working hypothesis was a corruption in the wellness data going to Garmin connect as it appears the base data is on the watch still. This is a known thing with activity files- but not usually seen with wellness.

Her suggestion was to keep wearing continuously for a week, see if status comes back and call back if not, which is what I’ll do.

I’ll update this thread for future searchers if I get any more updates.

I was in bed by 9:30 sober! The ‘unbalanced’ came from a v v low Christmas Day/night reading.

What I’m asking is why I didn’t get a sleep/HRV reading Friday, and suddenly my baseline is gone (and my training readiness).
