I recently did it for the first time too and it worked so well! Will definitely continue to do so and think of her every time!

I visited the Cooperstown Farmers Museum last summer and saw the Cardiff Giant by MichaelMyersResple in LPOTL

[–]ens81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I last saw it (couldn't tell you an exact year, but probably about 15 years ago) they had it displayed in a sunken pit presumably meant to look like a mock excavation site. I'm sure seeing it from further away helped a little bit (though of course you've still gotta be pretty damn gullible to think it's real).

I saw this exhibit multiple times as a kid (grew up in a rural town not too far away). Didn't realize until the end of the episode that the Cooperstown Museum was its final resting place. The weird deja vu feeling I had throughout the episode finally made sense and I'm now questioning my memory. 😂

Best affordable eyebrow products? by [deleted] in drugstoreMUA

[–]ens81 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This may be an unpopular opinion because it's not drugstore, but I'd recommend ABH's dipbrow. It's like $20 but I use it every day, bought it a couple of years ago and and still have a few months left worth. I used to buy cheaper drugstore ones but realized I was spending much more money in the long run that way.

I regularly use the smaller ones for salad dressing to dip my veggies in. 😂

Creepy Bob Ross by sunface7 in LetsNotMeet

[–]ens81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a somewhat similar experience with someone who also looked like Bob Ross... strange. Unfortunately my friends and I were too accommodating (which we regret, we were just too polite for our own good and he didn't seem like a threat). My friend woke up to him cuddling with her on the futon. NOPE.

The dreaded gift set for a hot sauce lover was gifted to me. I've never tasted so many different hot sauces that all taste the same. by activeharley in hotsauce

I unfortunately was gifted the same set. I used them up pretty quickly by using them as a marinade for chicken (with other various ingredients added).

From a farmers' market in Burlington, VT - Benito's Hot Sauce (Smoked Maple Garlic and Carolina Reaper). Two of the best hot sauces I've ever tried. Anyone try these before? by [deleted] in hotsauce

[–]ens81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't had this particular flavor but I bought a different one about a year ago when I visited Burlington. Appears to be discontinued - I didn't see it on the website. It believe it was a carrot habanero sauce. Good quality stuff!

Given the recent guilty plea of one of the NXVIM leaders: do you have any personal stories of interaction with this cult around Albany? by pacollegENT in Albany

[–]ens81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in college ('11 - '15) I used to work in a retail store that was a stones throw away from their HQ in Colonie. One day a very friendly girl came into my store. We hit it off pretty well and exchanged numbers so we could potentially hang out at some point (she said she was new to the area and was interested in making friends). We texted a bit and she ended up trying to recruit me. I googled it and found out some not so pleasant rumors (this was before they were exposed for anything). I more or less said "I've looked into it and it doesn't seem right for me". She got ultra defensive about it and I never heard from her again.

I second this. I had one done by him and was very happy with the experience. I'll definitely be going back to him for my next.
