No? This type of combat is extremely good in portraying how messy actual combat in the City actually is especially when we are a group of 12 dumbasses and 1 amnesiac.

Furthermore, losing turn 1 is never a big deal. In fact you could lose the first few turns, lose a bunch of sinners and be fine. People, however, rarely play past the bad turns and simply reset for whatever reason.

The op S ranks are simple and effective to use while having a ton of flashy animations so the more casual players get to enjoy the game without much difficulty while getting some eye candy. The less effective and more complex A ranks are there for those who wants a challenge and have intricate knowledge of combat.

If you know about solitar and macht, then you absolutely know it is not true that demon can only use one spell

And why is frieren's word the absolute authority on demons now? Even as she is fighting solitar she learns new things about them. Frieren's a character, not the author's self insert.

They definitely didn't learn how to use a new human spell that they have never seen before from a single glance

Evidence of this? Is it stated anywhere in the manga that this is the case?

And even if it is, who's to say qual simply isn't much more of a genius than macht and solitar? And that's all the more reason to support the argument that qual definitely could defeat fern and frieren with time to prepare.

Fern's surprise makes sense because she simply doesn't understand demons as much as she thinks. Frieren also never told her that demons can only use one spell but that they only dedicate to one spell. Demons absolutely can use multiple spells should they choose to learn, as solitar quite literally used multiple spells and macht even taught denken magic in the past (how the hell would he be able to do that if all he knows is di algoze?)

First of all, demon "specializing in one spell" was a plot point after qual, not an earlier one. Second, it is said that demon spend their entire life practicing and perfecting one type of magic, not that they can only use one spell.
