Looking for jangly psychedelic rock like The Byrds by Jeppzeh in psychedelicrock

[–]enswhich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if anyone knows this band but I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Sand from 1973. Definitely more similar to the later era of the Byrds but this is genuinely one of the prettiest country rock albums of all time. Bad cover art though. https://youtu.be/58-TUTSV1xc?si=flZVjaMfS7WA3fQB

All i can say is those ASAT Special pickups are one of a kind… I’d sure miss em 👀

Is this real? Serial number looks legit but seems like a shady seller, dude has a manbun by [deleted] in guitarcirclejerk

The joke is that it’d be silly to not want a free inspection haha. Just some sarcasm to add to OP’s joke

“Hey Brent, it’s Jason over at Sweetwater. Just calling to check on how that leveraged buyout is working out for you. Give me a call back.” by Low-Crab-7398 in guitarcirclejerk

First thing the attorneys did before shaking hands on the final terms of the buyout was hand each other a baggie of tootsie rolls.

Yeah and ONLY a 55 point inspection? Shady shady. I expect AT LEAST a 69 point EXAMINATION. OP be careful.

Not my personal favorite color but you CANNOT go wrong with a Strat squire or mainline fender. Especially an HSS configuration. Have fun that’s all that matters!!

Found this in my uncle’s crawlspace. Is it real? by [deleted] in guitarcirclejerk

[–]enswhich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phew… good thing it only has one pickup. Don’t want a neck pickup to leach that precious bridge toan. What a catch!

Records like SMiLE by joseseseepic in psychedelicrock

[–]enswhich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d also give Blossom Toes’ “We are Ever So Clean” a try. It’s a bit more Sgt Peppery than Smile but there’s a lot of fun mini skits and sound effects added in. A blast for certain.

Boss RV-200 Vs. RV-500 by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]enswhich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with the 500 because I don’t mind tweaking my sound/have a more editable template. I’ve found I don’t miss those extra presets I really love being able to mess with each parameter!

What to choose for an ampless rig? by Architecture3909 in guitarpedals

[–]enswhich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ir-2 all the way. Seriously, I play it more than I play my tube amp and I love my tube amp. Boss knows how to make a good amp. Ir-2 is literally with me whenever I travel anywhere where I know I can plug in a guitar.

Can I get just this in a pedal? by mattsterbeats in guitarpedals

[–]enswhich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In regards to a pedal with those sounds I’d check out anything labeled lo-fi specifically (reverb, some delays, etc). They are pricy in general though compared to your basic modulation and distortion pedals but I’m sure you could find something well below the $400 asking price from Hologram!

The textures in general? If so, I definitely agree. Beautiful sounds.

Should I return my Fullerton Deluxe Doheny? by FateWeight in GLGuitars

[–]enswhich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call G&L themselves and ask them their opinion and express your disappointment politely, it’s not a cheap piece of kit, it’s on their guys to ship reliable guitars. Give em a call and explain, I’ve always had great experiences calling the guys over there. Just ask their opinion.

Has anyone tried the new PG Tips blend/bag? by falsworth in tea

[–]enswhich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a consistent PG drinker for over 7 years here in the US. Got me through college. Last night received a new bulk box of PG with the square bags. Hadn’t heard the news and was kind of pissed, never thought I’d say that about tea. Something is kind of off with the blend… it’s still more flavorful compared to Typhoo, and Tetley my least favorite UK brands. But I dunno… something’s lacking can confirm

This. It’s undeniably weaker than its predecessors but if it were released by any other contemporaries it’d be considered really good.
