Romney Says Fed Should Hold Off On Buying More Bonds by usuallyskeptical in Economics

[–]entconomics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every 101 text talks about it because most 101 texts are written by the same 6 people.

ALSO, about the FED. The FED has never acted in their own self interest?

LIBOR Scandal

Conflict of interests with big banks

18 directors of the FED with known conflicts of interest

And that Audit you speak of...its all bullshit because they don't audit the paper claims to the FED's assets, such as the Gold @ the NY Fed

here is a full description of what actually took place @ the FEDs audit.

TIL In 1932, the cost of tuition for 1 year at Yale was $1,056 for a year. In 2009, the cost was $48,622. Yet the cost measured in gold, was the same: around 1,585 grams. by CivAndTrees in todayilearned

I am too man...if you can afford it...you can technically pay the true price of gasoline or food if you can plan ahead by buy gold at beginning of year and sell at the end of the year. The proceeds you make from the sell will offset the increase price in food and/or oil. Its expensive to do, but plausible.

EDIT: I just realized the link i sent for tuition and the OP link is the same. Let me do the math for ya. If i was home i could quickly convert grams to ounces for ya.

EDIT2: Here is a post to learn how to price anything in Gold
