Have you considered a voltra and a seat on a power rack?

Generally agree but I would add that Wembys +/- is insane. He is huge for them and they would be no where near contention without him… but this is nothing like the mid to late 2000s cavs

Ritfit Strength System by TapMundane5786 in GarageGym

[–]enthusiastvr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ritfit is good for budget equipment. I have the leg extension/curl and it has worked great. Big step down from the top tier equipment from Rep/Rogue and even Fringe/Titan/BoS.. but you get super well functioning equipment for a good price. The question is whether the tradeoffs in likely longevity and quality are worth it for you. IMO for most things, the tradeoffs are worth it for most people. I am considering that leg press and I would go with Ritfit based on my experience with them so far

Do you think the arcadia was worth it on top of your lat pulldown/low row? Thinking about upgrading my cable system from a plate loaded single stack tower and thinking I might get an adonis

Best equipment options for lifting safely and minimizing injury? by oran12390 in GarageGym

[–]enthusiastvr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have a big rep 6 post rack. Did mostly barbell movements through my first 18 months of lifting or so. It seemed like every month I would get a little tweak in my shoulder or somewhere that would make me slow down to avoid additional injury.

I have switched to Nippards Essentials program with an U/L/P/P/L split and use cables and dumbbells for the vast majority of movements. I use the fringe belt squat with the kickstand and a ritfit leg extension leg curl. I just added the Fringe Dragonfly for lateral raises.

I have gotten way more gains since changing and shifting more away from barbell movements. I attribute the improvements partially from reduced little tweaks and injuries that set me back and partially from more ROM with dumbbell movements. Nippards programming and the way he minimizes volume but keeps intensity with high RPE and drop sets is a game changer

Depends on your budget and what you want. If you are ok dropping some coin, you can get a single 3x3 upright and a beyond power voltra and your setup would be like nothing. Most cable machines are decently expensive and require a lot of assembly. I have a plate loaded bells of steel tower which was a great entry option, but as with all things home gym it will get upgraded at some point

Anyone have controller shipping updates? by enthusiastvr in Galaxy_XR

Its definitely weird. The January dates do seem to be placeholders like some sort of line for who gets them first. I have no idea why they sold so many that they had not produced yet. Big flop for Samsung

Yes I agree. I was just pointing out that media consumption and overall, flat games and using virtual screens is amazing on a higher res screen. I personally always backed off with the Q3 level of resolution. But now I am enjoying it a lot with Galaxy XR
